Finally got a chance to watch this! Yannick mentioned MM's visual style! Noir charmant. Testing the video embed issue. William gets more than he bargained for at his bachelor party. Excellent! Our William would have had a heart attack.

Our William would have had a heart attack. I was thinking of FallenBelle's fanfic, hahaha. Moulin Rouge was "in theory" set in the same time period. Maybe I should add that to my "manifesto", should I get around to writing it.

Stylewise it's a steampunk cabaret stripper vid. I loved it! Also one of the best covers of Lady Marmalade I've heard IMO. You're right. William's restraint would have been out the window! Goes back to read CC and Fallenbelle's fics for reassurance. That's not a cover - that's the official video! It might have even been shown at the end of Moulin Rouge itself. It was a very over-the-top stylized we're-not-paying-attention-to-the-historical-details-here movie. I believe Moulin Rouge was "set" in 1900? The main character was Toulouse-Lautrec - the designer of all those cabaret posters we associate with the period. (What Henry showed to George...?)

Maybe I should add that to my "manifesto", should I get around to writing it. I can see Julia dragging William to the Moulin Rouge if the honeymoon had been set in Paris. He'd have wanted a back corner to sit in but Julia would have gone straight for the front row !

Proponents of the Paris Honeymoon should think about that! Anyone want to take that fanfic~
