Is it just me that thinks it weird that kids dress up as Murdoch. I just think it is strange that so many young children watch MM. I just don't think MM is suitable for young children. The subject matter, Brax swearing (which makes my husband laugh that they get away with some of the words he uses). I love MM and would watch with my teenage son but not if he was younger. I know it is not graphic like some other shows but I still don't think it is suitable for pre teens.

Most of the violence on MM is broadly or symbolically depicted: I think most episodes of MM would past the test used for rated PG movies. However, I have to say a couple of times MM has really surprised me with where it decided "the line" was. I'm not going to name those episodes or specific scenes here, because I don't want to create a line where there wasn't one before. I definitely don't want MM to move closer toward the "G" direction: getting "safer" for kids will just lose a lot of general audience members. But anyway, I was surprised and impressed when MM has been willing to push the envelope and I hope it will do more of it in the future. And as long as the parents are there for discussion, I don't see what harm it can do to the kids. I think the "Mini-Murdochs" were adorable!

MM has a PG rating in Canada and that's just about right in my opinion. A lot of stuff would go over children's heads ... and some adults I know.

I wouldn't be too concerned unless a 6 year old wanted to dress as James Gillies' rotting corpse!

I'd be more worried if they wanted to dress as James Gillies the physics student in a suit and straw boater.
