WHATHAVEYOUGEORGE went to the Sanderson Centre in Brantford yesterday, to see the Irish Rovers. What a great show! Sound was amazing and the boys put on a great show! In the program, I noticed that Murdoch Mysteries has taped in that 96 year old theatre. My question is, does anyone know what episode/episodes were taped at the Sanderson Centre in Brantford? Any help would be great, thanks.

I don't know if you could see down the street but the next block to the east on Dalhousie Street has been used at least a dozen times for exteriors including The Murdoch Sting, Houdini Whodunnit, Dial M for Murdoch and Hangman off the top of my head.

I don't think this has been mentioned yet. At least I couldn't see a new thread for Episode 915, so assuming. This post on Maureen Jennings' site, from earlier this month www.maureenjennings.com/?p=2219

I have to disagree with you there. George was not promoted beyond his abilities if you compare him to some of the inspectors we've seen from time to time. George was not promoted to WM's level, but then who would be? Like most people who are smart enough to know they are surrounded by much smarter people but not smart enough to know how to handle that, Henry just makes himself look bad when he tries to behave the way he thinks he "should." He's got an inferiority complex and he knows he deserves it, which has to a special kind of hell. I sympathize with Henry, but like most of you, the thefts were petty in every sense of the word. It is kind of sad, really, that George's friendship seems to be wasted on him. Maybe he will redeem himself. Those men shouldn't have been detectives either. George is too fanciful to make a good detective, he also needs help when he does work on a case. He's great in uniform, but I've never believed he is detective material. Oh, dear me. As George has often said, "I think we will have to agree to disagree," on this one. As for George's flights of fancy, his predictions about the use of technology are almost always correct, in general terms, while Murdoch the genius has a hard time imagining other uses for his inventions. And I do think George is smart enough to solve crimes on his own. it is probably moot at this point, since he will probably never be made detective because of the Brooks case. Too bad for George.

George has often been wrong about cases. He's a good assistant to a detective but I wouldn't want him investigating my murder.

I'll take George as lead detective over Det MacDonald ((Hangman) or even Det Slorach, (Murdoch Identity) any day. He may have fanciful ideas about a lot of things but when it comes to actually solving a case on his own, which he has done several times, he is William Murdoch's diligent apprentice. He has been the right hand of the greatest detective in the realm for years; therefore he is more than competent to be a detective in his own rght. Unfortunately, that won't happen now.

From PM on fb: Next episode changes everything (jan) Now I'm worried!! Speculation: William's powers of analysis discover there is no Santa Claus. Children around the world cry aaaaawwwwwww! Julia makes William play Santa in bed to satisfy a fetish she's always had.

George has often been wrong about cases. He's a good assistant to a detective but I wouldn't want him investigating my murder. In some ways George reminds me of Kramer on Seinfeld: always falling ass-backward into luck! (that probably reveals my age more than my Chinese astrological sign...) In a way I think George's stupid moments are a bit of a put-on: this helps him blend in with the guys and get-along socially. I'm sure it helps him make the suspects he interviews comfortable - they start to feel superior and make a mistake. Or George could just be an idiot savant (not in the neurally diverse autistic sense but in the literal meaning of the adjectives: sometimes he acts like an idiot and sometimes the creative wires of his brain cross just right to make him a savant). I'd like to argue that George's kindness and human understanding is just as important to effective police work as a high IQ. George can investigate my murder any day! Hodge did it.

I wouldn't want any of those detectives investigating my murder. Toronto has no issue with employing unsuitable people as detectives, that's why William stands out so much, he is what they aren't. George is smarter than those other two, but I still don't believe he is the right fit as a detective. He's best in uniform and I don't think that speaks badly of him.
