I have just started watching this show and I love it. I am just nearing the end of season 6. I have tried to fight it but I find Julia absolutely annoying. She is so stubborn and so sure that she is always right. William needs to find someone who supports him as he supports her. Please tell me she gets better or she leaves the show!!

My husband felt the same way and I have to admit I did too for a while. IMO she gets better. I might add that to get where she has she has had to be stubborn and sure of herself.

I've always enjoyed Julia. I thought she has been portrayed as a determined woman who has had to fight for all her accomplishments and has some insecurities as a result. She and William are a great match for each other as they share some of those insecurities.....
Welcome aboard, Patti

Welcome aboard, Patti I have to admit in S6 she did become somewhat self absorbed in her efforts to ditch Darcy. She really didn't take William's feelings into account when she first mentioned divorce. It was a very hard subject for him to come to terms with and she walked right over all his attempts to tell her of his feelings. She's lucky he's so devoted to her that he did come to terms with it.

I guess that's true...but honestly. She could give in a little! :-)

She's not perfect, which would be very annoying in my opinion, and just like Willam, those imperfections are what make her interesting.

I've always enjoyed Julia. like Willam, those imperfections are what make her interesting. ITA -tho on occasion I confess I've wanted William to draw the line on her neuroses at his expense. But then he has behaved like a stubborn fool himself, so I suppose they should call it a draw. XD

XD I agree-there have been a few times when I would have liked to have seen William snap at her or call her out on her neuroses, making decisions for the both of them. I also would've like to have seen her get upset at him for not better expressing his emotions or overthinking things, but, as we just said, these are their flaws, and it's probably a draw. I think William and Julia need to have an argument!

I know they had an argument there, but I think they need another one. Also, they "make up" by her shushing him when he tries to apologize for belting Darcy and making things worse. Still, I was watching Last Train to Kingston a couple of days ago, and he does take charge when he finds her talking to Gillies-he scolds her for being there "Get away from him!" While taking her arm and pulling her away.

He was in Detective mode then and I think instinct took over. Probably, but I did like to see him not hesitate for once around her. So did I. I have to admit I still don't get this pairing. For someone that's so confident in his job William's a wimp around Julia but still can't resist her. Maybe it goes back to his past, he probably didn't have much contact with girls, now he's met a woman that's not only attractive but his intellectual equal, instant attraction, but her confidence is a little overwhelming for him. I've thought for a long time that she's his 'siren'.
