I realized what got me confused. PM was talking about it IIRC, when we were speculating about S8, CC was speculating on the fire being in S9? I'm sure this idea came out of discussion along the lines of: "not this season but the next..." It would have to be season 10 to keep it into the usually followed timelines.......I can see them starting with the aftermath, because even though it happened in April, 1904, it was unseasonably cold and the water froze as it was sprayed on the fire......plus, they don't start filming until May, so they are too far along in the season, although, I'm sure they can work around that.....
