This would be the only thing I could handle in the slightest. Honestly... I just.... what even?! I'm not sure I could stand if any of the original four main characters were killed off. It wouldn't be the same show. Surely the writers wouldn't do that to us, unless one of the cast members wanted to leave. I can see killing off one of the constables, they did sacrifice Hodge for a storyline. Here's the appropriate part of the article on TV-Eh?: Then a shocking death brings great change to the world of Station No. 4. So it would appear it's someone from SH4 that's going to die. This now makes me wonder about Henry because of the way it was described that Lachlan said it. Can't remember who it was that told us about this. I hope it's not Henry  I love his friendship with George. |

More spoliers for season 9 HEREIt appears Dr. Ogden is taking on a new prodgy, who just happens to share my first name. Why are they bringing on another character? Unless they're getting rid of one of them...and thus starts another round of speculation. This makes it seem like one of the girls... However, I am totally stoked for a Christmas special with W/J working together to save Christmas. |

She has said she doesn't miss it and I think Helene would rather not have to deal with it as she's rather squeamish. Julia is no longer a pathologist to take on a prodigy in that line of work so I'm not sure how they could pull off her training a new pathologist. Sounds like TPTB have been listening to the fans where the Christmas special is concerned. I wonder when they'll air it seeing as they preempt MM in December. Edit - Having read the preview I now think it's Emily we'll lose, I can't see them bringing on another female character and I'm hoping that they've learned from last year NOT to include too many regular characters. Last year they introduced three semi regular characters Margaret Haile, Lillian and Edna with three separate story arcs if you include the Emily/Lillian relationship as a separate arc. It was WAY too many storylines to juggle. With another new character added that means we'll have another storyline and character to build. I wish they'd get back to the original four characters. <SIGH> |

True Lea. Michelle Ricci did mention in an interview before season 8 ended that they would be focusing more on that issue
this season. Maybe Lillian did go away and brought this new character back with her? It is supposed to be 5 months ahead
when season 9 returns...
George is supposedly to be in 'completely different circumstances' which sounds like he is jobless or doing something else. Perhaps Higgins dies, and they contemplate getting George back to the stationhouse? Or Brackenreid....and William takes his place and brings George back.

The teasers are coming fast and furious now that filming has started and they want to get ahead of fans posting location shoot pics on social media. Sooooo exciting! I am delighted to hear about a Christmas special...it's almost like having a 20 episode season. I wonder if it will be set up as a stand-alone movie or an extended Chistmas episode?
The way they word those press releases is so cagey.  I'm also starting to wonder if it's one of the lads or even the Inspector who goes? Has anyone heard anything about projects that Thomas Craig may be working on? It has to be hard with his family living in the UK.
I'm interested to see how this new Rebecca character fits into the grand scheme of things. I do think TPTB have learned that too many side characters and related story arcs are the basis for last season's fan distress. We have both Michelle Ricci and Peter Mitchell on record as saying they are going to keep the focus more central to the core characters...but who is leaving??? **much hand wringing and gnashing of teeth**

If the suffragette arc is still ongoing does that mean we still have Margaret Haile and Clara Brett Martin? Whilst I didn't mind the characters too much time was taken away from the main storyline and characters. We still have George's arc to finish and now a death and another new character. PLEASE, get back to basics, the MYSTERIES and the people solving them! The B plot should be a distraction from the A plot not taking away from it. Way too much time was spent on B plots last year and the whole season suffered.  |

The viewers know what they want, what's lacking, what's improved, they should really pay attention to us dammit! haha After all the complaints about the addition of Lillian etc, what do they do? Add another permanent character that no one will give a rat's ass about. Again, it's not to be rude to the actress she is just not needed or wanted. Sorrynotsorry! |
