As for the pictures...I'm wondering if this is supposed to be Christmas Eve. If so, what's in the wooden crate George is holding and the rolled up paper William has......were they going to do some last-night work at William's place? Oh, wait it's the movie so yeah, I guess they would be working late Christmas Eve to solve the murder and try to locate all the gifts! d'uhhh There was just a very brief preview on the CBC during the hockey game and Julia greets William with "Unwrap me, William", then you see both William and George....... ..... William having a sudden choking fit and George not knowing where to look...... can't wait!!

Just saw this, I'm surprised they gave this one away.

Mama raised me to use either rum or brandy with eggnog. Recently I've discovered that kahlua works well also, though I prefer that in coffee. If I'm getting fancy I go with a "Dark Colleen", which is equal parts Irish Mist and Godiva Chocolate Liqueur stirred into the egg no and them dusted with nutmeg. omg, the decadence! I am absolutely certain I am worth it! lol

OMG! - I just noticed that 'A Merry Murdoch Christmas' will be aired in Finland in two parts on 28th and 29th December. I was certain we would have to wait until next Christmas. Now I have to hunt for a good egg nogg recipe and make an occasion of that. The usual Christmas drink in these parts is glögg (mulled wine or seasoned spirits) but I think egg nog is more suitable to enjoy with MM and maybe some crumpets as well .

The only similarity between a posset and egg nog is that they both start with warm milk. For a posset, wine or ale is added specifically to curdle the milk then spices are added, served warm. (I'm registering an ewwwww. ) Egg nog, once the milk and/or cream is warm, sugar, whipped eggs and spices are added along with your spirit of choice, or not. Curdling in this case would be an epic failure. Traditionally the mixture wasn't cooked once the eggs were added but now it's common practice to continue cooking to thicken the brew, then it is chilled.

Am I the only one who loves Helene's dark suit? Hope it's not for mourning, though!

Am I the only one who loves Helene's dark suit? Hope it's not for mourning, though! Dark colors look great on her! The navy colored outfits from the earlier seasons are some of my favorites!

There's a link in the season 9 discussion thread for some Shaftesbury bloopers, and it opens with George and William standing in a doorway with surprised faces, and Jonny says 'Good gravy', causing Yannick to bust out laughing. I wonder when they'll release a full video of season 9 bloopers for us.
