I don't remember any episodes in the past that were anything like this. I haven't missed any either. For me it kept reminding me of these episodes: The Annoying Red Planet / I, Murdoch / The Tesla Effect / Confederate Treasure / War on Terror / Murdoch Air / Murdoch and the Cloud of Doom / Journey to the Centre of Toronto / The Spy Who Came Up to the Cold. And it also reminded of the Infernal Device web series. I don't think it was a bad episode, it was entertaining. I just didn't think it was a great episode, though it had some really good moments. Talking of The Infernal Device web series, I guess we can now say it wasn't really a part of the show as Meyers and George didn't seem like they'd worked closely together and they made no reference to the events. Similar genre but much more fun for me. Those took themselves too seriously accept maybe the Red Planet which was hilarious. I guess we agree to disagree on the episodes we enjoy. Which ones are your favorite?

Which ones are your favorite? There's so many episodes, so I can't decide on an out-right favourite. It's hard to narrow it down because I like or love the majority of episodes. I generally really enjoy the fantasy/sci-fi ones, and of those type, I think my favourite could be Lovers in a Murderous Time. I guess I'm just not a big fan of the spy stuff, though I do like chunks of those episodes. But I prefer there to be a mystery to solve over espionage matters.

Oh that was a good episode (although you may have figured out by now I sappily love them all). I loved the end when the lover out of time said What church bell I didn't tell her about a church bell.

I get a kick out of the spy episodes maybe because as an American it pokes such ridiculous fun at our own aspirations. We are a wonderful country with some pretty strange ideas sometimes.

Loved this episode! As soon as I saw the movie poster as J/W were leaving the cinema, I recalled our crazy tangents of summer 2014 including when snacky brought up her pics on the same movie! I'll have to watch this one a few more times to grasp everything that happened...what a whirlwind! I'm glad all of you have mentioned the fast pace of the episode. I was beginning to think I was listening too slow. PM did mention that the writer was influenced by Dr. Strangelove. I had a sense of that as I watched. DS is one of hubbie's favourite movies. Wonder what happened to Meyers? Maybe this was a romp in steam-punk land and not canon (like the Christmas movie?) It was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed it. I'm giving it 5 carco happy faces out of five.

I think these episodes are a great vehicle for Williams applied physics addiction. I loved him doing the math while everyone else contemplated the end of the world LOL. I loved William talking about the moving picture being so unreal and that children shouldn't have to go through life with a distorted understanding of physics. What a burden for the children!! My first thought was trust William to be working out his formula on the blackboard whilst everyone else was discussing the Minister's whereabouts.

I know, really William if physics had been that dry when you were a kid would you be as drawn it it?

Talk about a whirlwind!!! Chock a block full of inventions, US Canada relations, gotchas, Rebecca back story and romance. The props were out of this world. Craig Grant deserves awards for this one.
The Pendrick Bullet even had a cameo. Too bad it can't be driven anymore. I think we were some of the last people ever to be in it!!
Why can't the bullet be driven? It's falling apart inside. Craig told us that it had tipped twice, once with Peter and once with Yannick in it. For all its steam punk glory exterior, it's a pretty simple machine inside and somebody stepped once too often in the wrong place.

I'm glad we had the chance to go for a ride in it before it met it's demise!

I loved that episode and enjoyed Murdochs similar response in last nights episode. He flew!

Really? I thought this episode was very imaginative and well written. No, the mystery wasn't the greatest, but it did keep me guessing for a while, anyway. I just love Pendrick and am so happy he and William are developing a friendship, since he is one of the few people who shares the same interests in science and the future, although William keeps getting it wrong (and George gets it right!! ) That would be a great social connection for Jilliam. The references came fast and furious, and I will have to watch again to catch them all. Very good writing, I thought. PropMonkey is a god! I hope the rest of the season is like this. I agree I thought this was a delightful episode with so much to enjoy except Meyers and Clegg both gone how sad. Some of my favorite scenes involve both of them. However, much Pendrick left to explore and we never did find out what's up with the Svetlana leg thing. I really think Clegg will be back after all he ended up Ambassador even though he was run out of Canada before. He has eyes on Canada as the next colony for the US. I cannot see how Meyers could come back but I hope he does. I think Rebecca is going to be very interesting for Julia. Maybe that is why there was so much about her being tired last episode so she can get an assistant. And so on and so on and so on. I love this show. There was a question and answer with Peter Keleghan on FB and he believes Myers is A) alive; B) in Borneo; C) what happens in Borneo, stays in Borneo; and D) he'll be back......he has also volunteered for a new spin off series, The Myers Mysteries......
An observation......Sarah Mitich, Tamara Hope and Peter Keleghan figured prominently in Fan Day.....we are less than half way through and all 3 are gone.......hmmmm......be careful, Arwen Humphries......

Actually, I wonder if that's kind of the joke...that BECAUSE of Pendrick's inventions getting destroyed early on, Canada was always behind everyone else in innovation. Oh, I'll dispute this one......Canada has always punched above its weight when it comes to inventions and discoveries, from medical developments, like insulin, the cranial shunt, Pablum, etc., inventions like the telephone, standard time, innovations like the Avro Arrow, snowmobiles, SeaDoos, creativity in war time, like the creeping barrage in WWI........we've actually done quite well......if Pendrick hadn't kept screwing up and could finish well, he'd be in very good company.......

Oh I forgot about Borneo. I hope he comes back as Meyers is fun. Meyers Mysteries hmmmm I wonder if any Murdoch actors will have cameos?

I have a co-worker, who is a very smart nice young man (god, I sound old), who is very serious and maths oriented......I had to stifle laughing today, because he told me, in all seriousness, that he spent an evening on the weekend comparing calendarizing monthly payroll calculations vs daily calculations, and he did a chart of the average difference by month.....the difference was about $100 to a budget worth several billion.....considering he has a wife and a 6 month old baby at home, I asked him if he really had nothing better to do on a Sunday night....considering I spent Sunday night farting around on the internet watching TV, I feel somewhat inadequate....
