Totally psyched for this one. I bet William does try it, and we all want to know what's going on in his head! What do you think the zz's mean? Sleep?

Julia is going to make him try it. And apparently she does. I've seen a still, and now I'm dying to see the preview.

How sad is it that we're excited that squeaky clean Murdoch actually tries a dangerous illicit drug with his physician wife?

William is so tight-laced that it's exceptionally interesting when he chooses to be bad. That's why it sucks we weren't in on what happened after Julia took William to the pub at the end of The Local Option.

It's because William's so squeaky clean that we love any opportunity where he's naughty. Still, does anyone know where I can find the preview?

Finally saw 50 Shades of Grey on HBO: every time the tie was referenced I was LMAO. I'm trying to re-imagine that whole movie with Julia as Christian and William as Anastasia.

Opium and its derivatives cause sleepiness/drowsiness. Hence 'pipe dreams'. Smoking it sends you to sleep. That's why for centuries, it was used as a painkiller.

Has anyone here read de Quincey's Confessions of an English Opium-Eater? That might be enlightening. I've browsed by it before - it's a pretty short book. However, I have yet to take it off the shelf.
