Dare I ask where that hilarious deleted scene came from? Michelle posted it on twitter. If this season has taught me anything, it's that there are a lot of cut scenes. I don't suppose they put them in the DVD extras, do they? Well, I suppose that depends on if these 'deleted' parts are actually filmed or not... If George is a foundling, how can he know for sure?

Well, this ep was GM2 so Cummings could be JG2. But he better not be...or else. I thought it kind of odd they'd take drugs from someone they weren't 100% sure wasn't a murderer. I noticed the similarity to JG, too. More than the arrogant-ass attitude, it was the boater. If they did run JG2, I would hope he would remain a smart evil nemesis instead of being reduced to a crazy cartoon character. Regarding the drugs: I think they took opium from a potential murderer for the thrill...

Who knew the pufferfish would become a recurring character......interesting episode...lots of layers and details. The nice thing about the pufferfish was it proved to be a good red herring. That seems to be increasingly hard to pull off as shows age.

Best AWWWWWW moment... " nothing could make my reality any better than it already is". You guys are giving us a marriage this season!!!!! W/J are sweet, loving, working together and kinda sexy. I wonder though why W and J decided to try opium at Dr. Lawrence's house rather than their suite. I understand the need plotwise...Julia going on about the dragon...but really...they both knew where that experience was going to lead....
My feelings exactly!

You mean I'm actually first to the party tonight? Still processing the episode, but heh, William and Julia getting high and heightened "desires". But only to have William cockblock himself as usual. And whaddya know, canon states that William was born in in 1863 per the show-aka "water pig". 1983, 1923, and 1863. I think you mean the flame cockblocked them. William was cockblocking himself first through pure dense-headedness. He didn't notice Julia was flirting with him? Really? Looks like he ordered the hot chocolate yet again.

The official MM fb page has W's b'day as 1861 but if MJ says 1863 then I'll go with that. The only thing that I wasn't sure of with Rebecca this ep was that things that Julia would have automatically thought of previously are now being assigned to R i.e. the pipe could have been poisoned. If it was 1863, then there are fewer "missing years"! Giving Julia a student was sheer genius. This gives Julia a sounding board for contributing to solving the mystery without her having to find excuses to be with William.

I think that was the point. Michelle even hashtagged it GreenMuse2 I'm glad he wasn't fake dead at least...the druggie kept saying she was seeing him, so I almost thought they pulled the same 'zombie' gag again. While I'm all for GM2, Green Fairies sound more romantic than Brown Fairies. The references to past shows are a good way to pull off a red herring. Our minds have already been "trained" by the previous episodes.

Julia already knew about Puffer fish from Beaton Manor. I get annoyed when they pretend it's a new concept. I found the interaction between Jula's and Rebecca very similar to that of Julia and William with reversal of the dominant character? It flowed nicely IMO and gave us even more insight to the extent of Rebecca's knowlege. William seems to be fine listening to R's contributions. Perhaps Julia was just caught by surprise because she was still thinking in terms of plant poisons? Even if she has encountered the puffer fish before, it may be rare enough that it's not something that would come to mind for her. I agree Julia/Rebecca = William/Julia as a device for exposition of the crime. IMHO, it works!

Waiting until hubby gets home for 2nd viewing (I'm home sick) but I think I liked it well enough-the nod to the orientalism of the era was good, and while I was pretty sure who did it, I wasn't sure of the motive. I laughed when William said he wasn't hungry too-she soooooo wasn't talking about food. But, yes, he did seem to be enjoying himself before he cockblocked himself. This ep is second-viewing worthy! It looked to me like William was well on his way to undoing the cockblock himself before the 5-clawed dragon got between them!

I always knew I was a dragon, but now I know the element too. Never knew they paired them up like that. Makes sense though. And cool, apparently Adele and I have the same sign. I suppose that means I just told you my age. Oh well... Fire dragon here, but I'm not sure what all that means. A super dragon perhaps? Still, not sure what a golden dragon is either.

Happy belated birthday! (I got married 8 months before you were born ) I second the happy bday! And CC is older than I thought! Thanks guys. Yeah, I get that a lot. I'm kinda immature. And I look a lot younger than I am too, so that doesn't help.

Looks like he ordered the hot chocolate yet again. I still maintain it was mostly the flame...Love how Julia overreacts way more than William does, like she's the one that got burned. I suppose in a manner of speaking she did, cuz that put an end to their sexy times.

A redundant dragon more like. It probably means you're supposed to be volatile/fierce. Whereas I'm supposed to be grounded/stabilized. So you're Brax and I'm Murdoch. There's the 4 elements + metal (gold). But yeah, not sure what that one is supposed to mean. Luck?

He was dropped off on March 14th, 1867...but he doesn't know if he was born before Feb. 23rd, or after...though, since he FOUND his mother in that same ep, you would think by NOW he would know what day he was born on.

Watched it. Neat episode. Not bad. Liked the opener very much. The killer was fairly obvious from about halfway through, though.
