Well you did all hate there was no cliffhanger last year I didn't mind not having a cliffhanger. It didn't make me look forward to the new season any less.

Soooo, anyone care to speculate on this? Aw our first original cast member leaving I am excited for what they do with it though. I'm sure it's gonna be wild.

Well you did all hate there was no cliffhanger last year Admittedly there were some who did, but there were a few around here who were fine with it, myself included. Also, I don't really see anyone complaining about a cliffhanger per se, just that we'd have to wait 6 months for resolution.

Well you did all hate there was no cliffhanger last year I don't really see anyone complaining about a cliffhanger per se, just that we'd have to wait 6 months for resolution. And there's the rub. Cliffhangers are a tried and true way of keeping the fans going between seasons but it kills us! The biggest upside to a cliffhanger THIS season is it pretty much tells us there WILL be a S11. No one here believes for one second that the powers that be would allow such a quality series to end that way. WHEN it's time for MM to solve it's final mystery, I sincerely hope it is a deliberate choice between CBC, Shaftsbury, the writers and main cast before they start writing it. Whether or not it is announced as a final season is another issue but what matters is they write it as a final season.

Just read about Brackenried going back to England. Perhaps that is why Maureen Jennings is writing a MM book that is about William age about 54. Maybe a new series in that era. one can only hope

Maybe a new series in that era. one can only hope The show doesn't follow how the books do things. They may use the crimes as a basis for the occasional episode, but in terms of the characters, it's not really like the books. They do things their own way on MM and I don't think the show is going on until William is 54.

You misunderstood. Perhaps a series will be based in a new era. Helene joy stated at an interview that she would love the clothes from that era and no corsets.....this is just a thought.

I can't see that ever happening tbh. Actually, I can see a Murdoch-like series based in the First World War Toronto (or Montreal, or another major Canadian city). That war had such a major impact on all the nations involved socially, politically, economically, but Canada is considered to have come of age because of it, with a change of attitude, thinking of ourselves as Canadian rather as British....the material which could be mined is huge. The Brackenreid boys would also be the ideal age to volunteer in 1914 or 1915.......

In case you are planning to record tonight's Christmas show as part of the series, you have to record it separately. I had it set to record the series but the title is different so your PVR won't recognize it. I have now set it to record tonight.

If he's warning in advance then he knows most of us probably won't like what's coming. So long as William and Julia are alive and still in love then I guess I can survive the angst.
