Seems to me they are trying to make the present characters more three dimensional by bringing in more of their personal
lives. Sorry but it's not working for me. I still watch but the sparkle and humour is missing at the moment.

The sparkle is back!!!!! What a wonderful episode with Brackenried "Bloody hell Murdoch" That was pure magic.

Murdoch has been my very favorite program since I first discovered it. I originally watched it on Netflix (I'm in the US), then purchased the DVD for season 8, then joined Acorn TV so I could view season 9, and am now watching season 10! It really has EVERYTHING you could want in a TV show - great stories, great characters, wonderful actors, drama, humor, crazy science and inventing stuff that won't be invented for decades! And romance, and ... oh, yes, there's gore. Too much for my tastes really - I mean, I know it's NOT real but still, yuck. I do not need to see one more scene where Julia is digging around in somebody's insides! MY only question is - WILL POOR CRABTREE EVER FIND TRUE LOVE?? oh, and is William EVER gonna build that blasted HOUSE??? I'm seriously intrigued with the idea of a "dish washing cupboard" or whatever he calls it! Love them all! WHO comes up with all the bizarre gadgets and all the science mumbo-jumbo? There must be some serious techie wizards helping with all that!! Again, LOVE THE SHOW!!! Guess this wasn't "quick" ... oh well!
