Yes, speculate. That's what this thread is for. I suspect that William "dies" in the season finale, after having somehow been set up by Gillies to be implicated in the missing women angle that Watts began investigating last week. I'm sure there are some more details that will be revealed in the coming weeks. I hope SOMETHING will be revealed in the coming weeks to tie all these disjointed episodes together.

That was my original theory Fallenbelle. That he would "die" and have to go on the run or into some type of protection. I thought it was possibly that even Julia might not know, that he would "die" for her own protection too. Then I saw an interview with Yannick Bisson who alluded to some sort of falling out between Crabtree and William. Or at least that was how I interpreted it. It is possible William may die along with Miss Bloom. I also have concerns about Jackson. I think with all his added airtime they are setting us up for the loss of Jackson.

Yes, I left that part out, but I think everyone thinks he is dead, (including Julia) but that he goes undercover to draw the real perpetrator out. I haven't seen the video, but I'll have to check it out to see what I can get out of it. Do you know which video it is?

And it looks like we may have guessed correctly, Murdork!

I just saw that! In terms of the interview, I don't remember where I saw it.I think it might have been a radio or online interview posted by Lizmc.

Softening us up for the end. This season is even more disappointing than S8 which was a big disappointment for me. I'd only started watching halfway through S7 and couldn't wait for the new season to watch from the start then we got the wedding and everything went downhill from there. BUT at least it had an arc, even if it wasn't a very interesting one and isolated the ladies in their own storyline. This season has been so disjointed I'm getting desperate to try and figure something out as to what is going on. I can only hope that the disjointedness was planned and somehow, some way, they're going to bring everything together into an arc in the latter part of the season. I'm grasping at straws here....

And it looks like we may have guessed correctly, Murdork! If that is what happens then it will be heartbreaking for Julia if she thinks William is dead. If the cliffhanger is left on us not knowing if William is dead, then we know for sure is is alive because you can't have MM without Murdoch. Could it be Brackenreid being killed? Only for real, with Thomas Craig leaving the show.

Hey guys. Maureen Jennings new book about William at an older age with a son makes me think he survives the upcoming finale. Such a lot of speculation! It is great! I would still like to know what his Son's name is in maureens book. Brackenreid absence in real life has not been explained but I read he is doing a pilot for a series called Elvis jones We are behind in Australia only being up to ep.5 but I always enjoy reading the spoilers. If they decide to go with Maureens new book and fast forward to a new era it would be brilliant

There are so many differences between the two. William and Julia aren't even a thing in the books. They won't do a time jump until possibly the end of the final episode. If they did one sooner they'd have to age the actors every week and it would become a nightmare to keep up continuity while filming. S11 will open at max a few months in the future, like they've done for the other seasons. The question is who will be taking over from Brackenreid and is William alive or 'dead' to the world. I can't see William being the permanent inspector at the station. It would take him out of investigations.

I don't believe there has been any word, one way or another, about Thomas Craig leaving.......I rather doubt that he is......

I don't believe there has been any word, one way or another, about Thomas Craig leaving.......I rather doubt that he is...... There has been by the person on Facebook who said he had a recent leaving party on set. And considering how little Brackenreid has been in this season I can believe it's true about Thomas leaving. Of course, it may not be true, but his absences aren't a good sign.

I think with all his added airtime they are setting us up for the loss of Jackson. I agree. Kristian Brun has said he's moving to LA next month. I'm kind of amused that Kristian is working so closely with Daniel Maslany, the brother of his 'wife' in Orphan Black. What? Jackson's wife died 2 years ago? Watt's sister disappeared?

I'm not surprised we probably losing Jackson. I'm surprised he's been on as much as he has given his other projects. I'll be sorry to see him go, I like Jackson. I like the interaction between Jackson and Watts, they work well together. I guess we've finally found out what happened to Jackson's wife given he had one in the episode he was introduced but she's never been mentioned since.

That was an end of filming party and Thomas Craig was leaving for England right after it, which he does every year......we been through this before, when Helene Joy wasn't in every one, because she was filming other projects and some people were convinced she was leaving......
