I hope that George gets a new love interest who isn't going to end up being a criminal or murderer. Surely he deserves to be happy after 9 years? I'd like to see Julia and William starting a family too especially after the end of season 9. It might prove to them that life's too short. One thing I was worried about is Rebecca taking over in the morgue. I hope this doesn't happen if they adopt. Julia is in her rightful place in the morgue ☺ I do so hope that Geo will find happiness - he is such a sweet spirit . I'd like it to be someone who will keep him on his toes and make him come out of his comfort zone a little. I don't want the relationship to move too quickly but certainly not as g...l...a...c...i...a...l...l...y as William's and Julia's. Nina Bloom seems like a good type. I hope she is a "good girl" at heart because she could knock a little sanctimoniousness (sp?) out of William and Thomas. Even though MM is "only a show", it would sadden me something fierce if Miss Bloom toys with Geo's affections and breaks his heart.
Rebecca couldn't take over the morgue work because she's not a licenced medical doctor with whatever additional work required to become a coroner (was pathology a recognized branch of medicine back then?).
The adoption would be a very interesting story line. When Roland was part of their lives, William and Julia could both take him to work and look after him. When the time comes for the next adoption, there will come a time when the baby will have to remain at home. William seemed a little uneasy (I thought) about having a nanny, whilst Julia was fine with it.
Both of them have jobs that may require a great deal of time - I wonder how each will handle any "guilt" about not being able to spend enough time with him/her. Neither Julia nor William appear to have close friends (any kind of "support system") to help. From what I've learnt about their "backstories" neither had a particularly happy childhood. They both want their family to have the love and security they lacked.
Maybe one or two of Geo's aunts could take visits in turn and help?

www.eyeoncanada.ca/blog/entry/murdoch-mysteriesAnother new article, with another new tidbit, I believe. I don't recall seeing this info before. "The show boasts plenty of other female characters that are not only wives and girlfriends, such as Rebecca James, Dr. Emily Grace, and a new investigative reporter appearing this season." Someone needs to tell the new recurring reporter what happened to the last recurring reporter... *grin* Unless they're misidentifying Ms. Pink. Do we know if she's returning?

One thing I'd like to have happen is for James Pendrick and Murdoch to be full and honest friends, and for it to remain that way. It is possible and it WOULD happen, if Pendrick could hold onto a job for longer than two episodes.

I think we started to see a bit of that at the end of the 09x05, and I hope we see it again this season.

I believe it's mentioned in the episode "Holy Matrimony, Murdoch!", by Crabtree, that Pendrick provides, rents or donates the wedding carriage for after the ceremony. So there must be a friendship building by that stage.

I know the show has had William be an island unto himself in the past, but I'd like to see that evolve and William make friends with someone besides Julia.

Lol, Fallenbelle wasn't sure it was Pendrick! His hair is so long and not slicked back. Oh, and that looks like the lobby at Scottish Rite. There aren't too many deer heads mounted in regular MM locales.

Gives me hope that Sally returns as a nemesis and William seeks Pendrick's help to solve it.

That part of the backlot looks the same! Maybe they didn't burn it all down??

So, my jaw just dropped for a moment when I saw this photo... Then I noticed that this is a throwback photo. So is Maureen trolling us now, or is this a hint?

It would certainly be interesting to see Anna back! I would not mind it if this photo was posted as a hint
