I don't know who wants to kill Julia and like Carco, I thought that "The Black Hand" was back and I never thought of Eva PIERCE but it's quite plausible. But to be honest, my first question was to know if Julia really was the target or if it was just a combination of circumstances. Indeed, it could have been William if he had opened the door instead of Julia. I just hope that we won't have to wait until the next season for knowing if Julia will survive and if she will be fine. I also thought -and I don't like this idea- that maybe they could pretend that Julia is dead until they find the culprit and she will "temporarily" -and I know that it could last a very long long long time- be obliged to leave Toronto and go to Europa -a way to explain her absence during the first twelve episodes of the tenth season. After all, the writers adore to seraparate the couple. After watching the preview I wondered if it was Julia the attacker was after, as I would have expected William to answer the door as a rule. Perhaps it didn't matter who answered the door and either one of them would be shot.

I'm putting my chips on Black Hand with Eva Pearce, and Julia being separated from William for a time as the aftermath.
(Though I doubt there is any room for it, I still believe Leslie should turn out to be a mob lawyer.)

So I'll jump right back into the forum, again..feet first. Seeing the preview for the finale and noting that the Black Hand & Falcone were back in the picture in "From Buffalo With Love", I checked out "Stroll on the Wild Part 2" to refresh my memory of the "agreement" that saved Anna's life. Falcone noted that Anna meant something to Murdoch and agreed the'd leave her alone on the agreement that, "one day when the time is right" Murdoch would return the favour. Since Anna's out of the picture now and it's Julia that means something to William, possibly the Black Hand/Falcone feels William has forgotten/failed to return the favour and suddenly it's payback time for William. Is the Falcone Jr story played out yet? But then "archer" reference in the title throws me off....... Perhaps the archer is cupid? I've got my finale crumpets, but I doubt the ep will be available to me tomorrow night.

Perhaps it didn't matter who answered the door and either one of them would be shot. The modus operandi/operating method used by the shooter is rather strange/a little puzzling. It seems based on the result of happenstance. It made me think the third episode of the sixth season, Murdoch on the Corner; the episode in which Mrs LYND wanted to punish people chosen at random for their sin. So it could be a man or a woman who has been betrayed by his unfaithful wife or her unfaithful hubsand and like Mrs LYND, he or she would feel invested of a mission. He or she would visit hotels, the best place to catch illegitimate couples in the act, and would punish them because any man or woman in a such relationship both would deserve to be killed according the attacker. It could be ironic too. Indeed, William wanted to leave the hotel for moving in their home (sweet home). Or it could be an angry woman who wanted to kill her hubsand or his mistress. She knocked the wrong door because of a 6 turning into 9 for example. She could have shot on her husband or any woman in states of undress in front of her. Ooooooor I should stop making suppositions. By the way, I'm bad at guessing correctly.

Therefore Julia has probably been attacked by that adversary.

Great finale! I'm happy that it wasn't a cliffhanger either! And because if you're reading this, you're looking for spoilers... Bloodtyping and transfusion for the win! You saved Julia's life through sacrifice. Worsely- I'm really saddened-I quite liked his character and I wanted to see more of him. I lost it with the Misery sendup. I hate that movie and pretty much all torture porn! I seriously couldn't stand to watch it for fear that she was going to break his legs-granted she got the hand, but that was nowhere near as bad as I was fearing. I'll pay closer attention now that I know I'm not going to be subjected to too much violence and torture. Interesting how Eva knew that Julia couldn't have children...and when did she become delusional? Is it just me, or had she previously been bad as opposed to mad? BAMF Outlaw Julia FTW!!!!! I'm a heterosexual woman, but holy shit that was hot! Serious girl crush here... First her man saves her, then she saves her man. Tit for tat. This is the Jilliam I adore! I'm sure I'm missing lots, but for now, this is all I can process. I'm sure I'll have more to say once I've seen it again.

Just watched the Atlantic feed........great finale....the Archer could have been a better shot... I quite liked how the archer pinned her to the tree, and besides, the archer had almost died and wasn't as strong as they normally are. Plus, awesome fight scene.

Poor writing in the final episode to many mistakes. Care to elaborate? Also, I think you mean "too" many mistakes, or perhaps "poor writing in the final episode led to many mistakes".

Poor writing in the final episode to many mistakes. It's a TV show not real life!

I'm guessing they have a house at the start of next season or will be living somewhere else? I should think that they're not interested in living in their suite anymore now that Julia was almost killed there and Worsely was found dead in their bed.

Loved BAMFY Julia and vulnerable William though and how the story turned around to have Julia save William. Delusional Eva was a bit of a mystery. I suppose we have to surmise that she gradually sank into insanity as things started going wrong for her and she ended up in Ward C with the incurables. Perhaps they drove her mad. I always thought she was coming on to William in order to mislead him not because she liked him. Hate to see Worsley killed off.
