I really liked this episode. I was glad Freddie didn't end up in any type of trouble so we have a chance of seeing her again. George pretending to know that Ma Murphy was notorious was hilarious. I'm glad Julia was utilized well in this episode since there was no body. (hooray for morgue science!) The only thing... did the fire suddenly not happen? Why would the fire have anything to do with this episode?

However after thinking about it, it just may never be relevant enough to any of the episode plots to have it pop up again.

It probably won't come up much, since the devastated area was not in Station House 4's area.....

Entertaining episode that I didn't guess all the details to. Though I had figured out the murders were staged. Freddie is bound to have more trouble with the Murphy's, and that storyline will probably pop up again.
Freddie is an amusing character and it was nice to find out some of her secrets. Julia seems fond of her after the Roland investigation.
It was strange not having Brakenreid in the episode, but it still worked without him and Rebecca. It's sweet how Higgins asks questions and tries to understand how things work. We're seeing a more mature side to him emerge more often this season. I also like William and Julia working together as a team on cases. Also, Julia being affectonate in the hotel suite was very cute.

Took me a while to catch the episode, and maybe I'm going to be in the minority, but I enjoyed it. It was a good mystery and I knew that something wasn't adding up and that there had to be a catch somewhere, but I had no idea what that was. I was not expecting what we got, and I thought it was clever.
I liked the relationship between William and Freddie, and liked the odd dynamic it had. He wants to trust her, he wants to help her, but he knows she's lying as well Funny that it was Julia who encouraged him when he was frustrated with her. Oh, Julia...you know our boy well.
Sure, this episode lacked the emotional punch of last week, but I didn't think this one was disappointing either. It was an overall solid effort.

It certainly isn't my fave ep but it was very clever and kept me guessing till the end.

I enjoyed the episode as well, but it isn't a favourite......I think it would have been hard to top the opening 2 parter & I suspect this one will look better viewed on its own in a couple of months......

I have the receiver programmed for MM on all time zones on Monday nights. I judge an episode by the number of times I actually watch it as opposed to half watching whilst surfing the net. I just about managed to watch twice on Monday, the third time I was on the computer. Some eps I watch all five times.

More or less the same here. The first two episodes captured my attention more than this one and I've watched them both several times since. I haven't watched the last ep again. Probably will at some point though.

I loved Williams Tracking device gadget this episode. Missed seeing Brax though. I loved the tracking gadget, too!!!! The shoe reminded me of "gum shoe". By the way, do people in Toronto pronounce "Berkeley" in the American way instead of the British way? (Barkly). I'm wondering if that street name was a call out. Were the other streets in Toronto? I thought it was a good mystery, but I doubt I will watch it again. I have very little to say about it. It strikes me that the MM is now what the writers/producers originally wanted it to be: a series of "one shot" murder stories, with the emphasis on mystery rather than personal arc, that can be shuffled in any order. I don't think taking the "addicting" part out of the formula is going to work for them, but we'll see.

Yay! Pink returns. I'd love to see her and Higgins get together. I don't know that I see that happening - I think she'd eat him alive. Also, I'm not unconvinced that Henry isn't gay. He might even have a thing for George. I'm not saying George is interested, because he's not. Poor Henry and his unrequited love...lol, I still think of Higgins as comic relief so it's hard for me to ship him with anyone. Then again, George did a pretty good job of shifting from comedy to romance/drama. I still think Higgins ends up as a boy toy to a rich, sophisticated widow. I can still see Julia and Freddie teaming up for the Crime Lab (with an investment from George?).
