I really liked this episode. I was glad Freddie didn't end up in any type of trouble so we have a chance of seeing her again. George pretending to know that Ma Murphy was notorious was hilarious. I'm glad Julia was utilized well in this episode since there was no body. (hooray for morgue science!) The only thing... did the fire suddenly not happen? Why would the fire have anything to do with this episode? It seems like the fire was a traumatic event that would have a lasting psychological effect. Plus all the burned down buildings were suddenly rebuilt.

We didn't see the burned out area. The streets mentioned in the episode were all in the Cabbagetown neighbourhood, which is where Station House 4 was located. The fire occurred in what is now the Financial district, then an industrial area, about 5 Km to the west.....

If I'm not mistaken, this was the first time Brackenreid hasn't been in an episode of MM. He'd appeared in all previous 134 episodes.

I loved Williams Tracking device gadget this episode. Missed seeing Brax though. What no one has mentioned is not only are they using the tracking device but they're also using a portable wireless radio. William has managed to reduce it from the suitcase size in Power to something they can sling around their necks.

George and Higgins looked like Edwardian Ghostbusters when they were wearing the portable wireless kit.

I loved Williams Tracking device gadget this episode. Missed seeing Brax though. I thought it was a good mystery, but I doubt I will watch it again. I have very little to say about it. It strikes me that the MM is now what the writers/producers originally wanted it to be: a series of "one shot" murder stories, with the emphasis on mystery rather than personal arc, that can be shuffled in any order. I don't think taking the "addicting" part out of the formula is going to work for them, but we'll see. It's interesting that you say that. I've enjoyed the episodes of this season, but you're raise a good question. I don't know that I'm ready to flail as of yet, but the show does seem to be lacking a certain something of late. However, I'll wait a few more episodes to see if that's really the case.

I've enjoyed all the episodes so far this season but the series as a whole has lost something, I can't put my finger on it but it doesn't feel like the MM I've come to love. Guess that's what happens when a series has been going 10 years, some things change and not always for the better. I'm finding myself drawn to the earlier seasons more and more, they had a certain aura about them that's been lost. Oh well, it's still the best show on TV.

This was a good episode. I didn't see the twist until the show almost ended. I really enjoy the Pink character. My fingers are crossed they'll bring back the Murphy gang, too. I liked how it was focussed on the mystery and murder this time, instead of sub-plotting off somewhere else. My only disappointment was no Brackenreid.

I've just realized that the actress that plays Freddie is the same one that played Lillie Dunn in Shades of Grey. I am behind on the times!
