They'll be working together on this case and that's always great to watch. I expect Brakenreid and Rebecca will be back in action on this storyline.

Rebecca isn't in all the eps anyway and I didn't even realize Brax was missing until the end of the episode then it hit me. I felt something was off with this ep now I know what it was. It had a totally different feel than other eps. Rather complicated plot and I didn't mind it but it wasn't my fave. I wasn't fond of Freddie Pink when she was first introduced but she redeemed herself in Wild Child and I liked her in this ep.

Alas, there's a preview of sorts! This is the second week in a row Murdoch's getting physical with a suspect, and I can't say that I mind it, but I do find it fascinating. Why is it? I know he got physical with Gillies when he buried Julia alive, and then again last week when the brother wouldn't say where Freddie was, so both other times (that I can think of) had something to do with the physical well being of a woman he cares about? Anyone care to hazard a guess as to why he does it here? www.facebook.com/MurdochOnCBC/?fref=ts

Edit: Just watched the preview again and I'm wondering if the suspect was getting physical with W as he says "That's enough" as he grabs him.

Noticed in the preview the return of another actor, Jonathan Goad, Byron Beaton from The Curse of Beaton Manor.

Maybe Murdoch has some PTSD issues of his own showing through after the events at the end of last season? He was kidnapped and had to deal with Julia's situations (almost dying, fighting with Eva etc)

Well, another convoluted plot!
Of course William was right all along....duh!
I quite enjoyed Det. Watts. He brought a whole new version of detective...not MacDonald or Slorach or Giles. He thinks more like George.
Question: is it believable that a Detective with the Toronto Constabulary would never have met the city coroner? However, I quite enjoyed Watts comments about coroners and pretty women.
This reporter, Miss Cherry is something else. Rather tabloid for a paper like the Gazette IMO. Should be interesting to see if she becomes a recurring character.

Perhaps this is the season of convoluted plots. I quite enjoyed it but not sure about Watts, I'm not fond of off the wall characters. I did like his interactions with William though. I guess it depends how new he is and what cases he's investigated before. If he hasn't had a murder case perhaps he wouldn't have met the coroner. Now we know why William got physical with the suspect, he was casting aspersions at Julia. I got the impression the journalist may be a recurring character.

First thing I thought while watching this episode "Wow, Julia sure is pretty.."
Lol. Guess I was wrong?
