Well, she said one day they were filming the masquerade/season finale and then on a different day they were filming the wedding scene. It's possible that they are the same episode because they do film one episode over multiple days but it's also possible that these are separate episodes, too.

I certainly hope there is a 5th season, but knowing how they are cutting back you never know. I was reading that there is a doubt now If they'll ever make any more Poirot, there is 6 stories yet to be done.

It seems like there's enough interest in MM for a 5th season. And there's international interest and funding, not just in/from Canada, so I bet there will be a 5th season. You never know because of how much funding there is from the government. Wind at my Back was a popular Canadian show but a lot of its funding was cut so it was left on a cliffhanger after a 5th season. Unlike Road to Avonlea, which had both Canadian funding and American funding via the Disney Channel, Wind at my Back only aired in Canada and only had Canadian funding.

Oh, I think there could be a happy ending for W & J still in this season. I doubt they'll get married by the end of it but I have a feeling they'll get back together before the season ends. Or at least be heading toward getting back together. Although Julia still has feelings for William, she's felt that she must move on if he is going to (which she thinks he has because he didn't respond to her letter). She met Darcy and developed some feelings for him, though I'm sure not as strongly as those for William. So I'm guessing since the last episode, spending more time with William again, she is realizing that her feelings for him are still there. She will probably decide that her feelings for Darcy are not as strong as she thought and it isn't fair to him or being true to herself to marry him. That's my prediction anyway. We'll see...

I'm trying to think like the writers Or at least what I would do if I was picking up the story where we are in it. I have some practice with that. Last year I wrote an entire script (170 pages) of a reunion movie for Road to Avonlea. I'm sure there will be some form of a happy ending for W & J before MM ends. On another topic, I feel like we haven't seen enough of Crabtree this season. I hope there will be more about him soon. We haven't seen Brackenreid and Crabtree interact very much. Or much of William and Crabtree either. I'm really curious when Ruby will come back. She's definitely in the season finale but if Julia's wedding to Darcy is scheduled for the next episode we may see Ruby then, too. She would have to be in town for Julia's wedding. And on that note, I'm guessing that Julia and Darcy were always planning to get married in Toronto even though they planned to live in Buffalo originally. The bride's family traditionally hosted the wedding so I would guess Darcy's family would have come to Toronto for the wedding.

In re-viewing some of season 3, I am struck by how the writers seem to be following through on the hints from season 3. Specifically, in Blood & Circuses, the gypsy fortuneteller first tells William that the woman he loves will NOT be in his future, only to change it up at the end and say she will be, but that he will have to make a major sacrifice. Surely, this fits him having to be without her at the beginning of season 4, only to eventually tell her he will make the sacrifice of not having children of his own in order to have her as his wife.
Also - I think that a return to Toronto would definitely cause Julia to rethink her feelings, and much as William did with Enid in season 2, realize that the relationship between the two of them is not over.
This may also be just wishful thinking on my part - but I have faith in the writers.

I have faith in the writers too but without another season is impossible develope an end of the story for William and Julia..end of April and we know what happen to our show..maybe postpone the date of season premiere in Canada is not a positive thing..someone on facebook say in Canada the network doesn't promote Murdoch enough..the most important thing now are the ratings..

I think we will be having another season (I hope!)... Looking at the ratings MM has been the most watched TV show on Alibi for a few weeks! So that should be good enough, right?

But if Julia and Darcy are supposed to get married in the next episode (which I think is most likely) and they do not because Julia realizes her feelings for William that's plenty of time before the season ends for W & J to get back together.

William had feelings for Enid but ultimately more for Julia. I think the sacrifice is not having biological children, too, but I'm not sure that's a big sacrifice to William. He seems happy to adopt. Makes me like him even more.
