Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere but the S4 dvd is up for pre-order at Amazon.co.uk.
Release date of May 16th so not long to wait at all this time!

Amazing!!! I liked William introspective side! His mind was elsewhere and his heart too. Really! The episode was exciting. The relationship with the new doctor has been contested and William was lost. I can't wait next episode: I want see Julia and her eyes in front of him.
P.s. I hate athe new doc!

The first 2 episodes without Helene(Julia) can be ok...but not other episodes!!I hope she is in all the future episodes

I don't understand it though. Helene Joy is in the credits for every episode but she still hasn't appeared. I think she's still considered a regular cast member. She will be in fewer episodes but she'll probably be in at least half I'm guessing. |

I'm going to guess that she will not be in ep 4 based on the description but after that I don't know. I hope she'll be in all the others, too. But if course absence makes the heart grow fonder  The more she's gone the more the audience will want her back. |

From Facebook in some Murdoch groups someone don't want her come back..I don't understand it..I hate when fans of a show don't like the main characters..I love the show and I love all characters

Yeah I've read that some people want to see a new love interest for William. I think it's always true that at least one major character on a show will be disliked by some fans. But hopefully most fans want to see them together. In the case of Julia I think a lot of it has to do with people's strong feelings about abortion. It makes her a controversial figure for people that she had one. Also her decision to pursue a medical profession even if that meant never having children. People don't realize that in those days a woman was required to give up her profession (if she were one of the few who had one) when she married and without question after having children. It was not an option to do both like it would be today. Some fans have interpreted Julia's decision to mean that she doesn't want children. But I don't think that's true. I think until she met William having children was a painful thought due to her experience with her abortion and I'm not sure she was ever in love before. It would take some time to recover emotionally from something like she experienced. Plus she didn't tell him of her infertility because she thought he would not stay with her if she could not have children. In those days, and even today, it would have been unusual for people to accept adoption as a replacement for having their own children. It's usually a last resort, unfortunately. She expected him to favor finding another woman rather than adopt a child. Fortunately William does not This is still an issue for couples today. MM does a great job of bringing in things people faced then that we continue to face today. |

I think exactly like you about what Julia want for her future,she want children and a family with William but she is afraid he want his own children,in fact she doesn't say nothing to him about she can't have children because was afraid to lose him,not because she want different things..maybe William thought she doesn't want children,but it's was his idea,not the reality!
