The fact that she has a protege, does make me wonder if Julia will be leaving the morgue though at the end of the show. If she was going to be starting a family, she'd have to in those days.

I can't believe it's going to be the last season! It feels like it's only just got going and then BAM! it's over!

Yeah, I agree that it was becoming more popular and everything. I think that's common with Canadian shows, unfortunately. But since this one had international support, I thought it would be able to run longer. It's too bad that we probably won't see a resolution for George's personal life in only one season. I hope we do get to see some romance for him though.

This just bums me out. I really enjoyed this show. First Cold Case, and now Murdoch. *sad face*

What I don't understand is would they cancel MM? Why cancel a show that was bringing in high ratings just to have it all end? This whole thing is so sad and so very stupid at the same time!! I hope that someone will start a petition or something. felicity18

A producer in one of the articles said something along the lines of fans would be happy with the way things turned out for them. It's going to be a very dramatic season!

Unfortunately, The Record (a small, local Kitchener paper) is not the best source--they are not known for stellar reporting... More reliable news would be in national papers like The Globe and Mail, National Post (and even the Toronto Star). Maureen Jenning's husband, Iden Ford, usually has the latest too. But cross our fingers that there will be some good news in the future!!!

Yeah, Iden has been posting on FB, too. And he seems to think it's possible, as well. This was his most recent statement: "Dear friends, until we definitively hear from the producer, who own the rights to Maureen's Murdoch and all the characters, that they are not going to continue, there is hope. It is City tv who are finished, but they do not create the show. They are the broadcaster of seasons 1-5." We'll just have to see and I'm actually fine with it if it ends after S5 because I would rather not have things be in limbo for the cast and crew. It would make it more likely they'd have to recast or replace characters altogether.

Yeah. It seems like so much is up in the air and it would be nice if everyone had some clearer idea on the matter. My mom told me that she talked to some of the crew and production staff after they finished filming Thursday, and everyone seemed at a loss as to what was going to happen next. They encouraged her to write directly to Citytv, so it seems like they are hoping that people can convince Citytv to change their mind (or at least give the broadcaster a piece of their mind!).
