Will this be considered an issue of "national security" perhaps?

Looks like they're trying to turn George/Grace into a W/J substitute. Shame they have zero chemistry. I hope the writers learn by the end of S5 the only chemistry the show has is W/J.
It was good we got no romance for William this week and more of the actual storyline. And nice to see some old characters back. I was bit upset when Higgins got hurt, I love him. But overall I am still not overly impressed with this series yet. I hope things start to pick up from next week. As this is one of my favourite shows.

Yeah, I think the chemistry is lacking because of the poor writing for their interaction. It hasn't been developed well. The actors are doing what they can, I think. I prefer George with Ruby. I do like Dr. Grace's spunk though. This was an interesting topic to explore. The anarchist movement was significant at this time. There were police infiltrations of the anarchist movement/Emma Goldman's followers. She did spend time in Toronto, though most of it was later than this. I liked seeing Terence Meyers again and thought he was entertaining as an undercover agent with William. It was funny to see him get flustered by the woman's talk of the sensual music. It was interesting that there was a capitalist plot and George did a good job uncovering that. I was worried for Higgins and I still wonder if he'll have any lingering effects from the concussion. It was implied he might. I liked this episode but a couple of things bothered me. One was that it was very obvious that the same building was used to be Toronto General Hospital as the Childrens' Hospital of Buffalo in S4. They have done this before when they've recycled exteriors. The mansion that Julia's family is supposed to live in was used as the mansion for the benefit for the children's home in Child's Play and a host of other locations. Also the actress that played Emma Goldman would have looked more like her if she'd worn glasses like Goldman always did. As a side note, William looked great in "poor man's clothes." We need to see him in a newsboy hat more.

Just saw the episode and all I can say is, especially because of Dr. Grace and George: I MISS JULIA! I find myself hoping every scene that she would just be back and show up unexpectedly. How many episodes do we still have to watch without her?

Just watched the new episode.
I think this is one of the best ones so far, in the new season. Gripping, exciting, interesting and I think it expands greatly on the characters.
Like everyone else, I picked up on the hospital scene at once. It's the same as the children's hospital in Buffalo.
Anarchists were a big problem in the late 1800s/early 1900s. In September, 1920, there was a car-bomb explosion on wall Street for which anarchists claimed responsibility.

Two I think. According to the episode synopsis' on Wiki, she is first mentioned again in ep 7. The same ep Anna comes back.

George's Prediction - mobile phones.
Along with others like...
- Microwaves. (Tesla Effect). - Clue/Cluedo. (Downstairs Upstairs). - CCTV surveillance. (Buffalo Shuffle). - Painting by Numbers (I forget the episode).
What others are there?

Food in a can! I don't remember what the episode was though Yeah, that was in Glass Ceiling when they're looking through the patents for corn shards. He also predicted fax machines in Monsieur Murdoch. Yeah, Julia will have been absent from 4 episodes in S5 (3-6).

I loved this episode! Although I dearly love Julia, I have to say I didn't miss her in this episode cuz there was so much good stuff. I thought all of the characters were well represented in the episode, most especially George. I thought the interaction between George and Dr. Grace was good, though not on the level of William and Julia. There were many layers to the episode, none of them 'dark.'
I agree showing the hospital exterior (twice) that was familiar from Buffalo Shuffle was disconcerting, but I've recognizedscenery and houses before - it's somewhat a given because they're filming 19th century situations in the 21st century.

I like that they still have the friendship between George and Henry in this episode. Victorian-era buddy-cops. For a moment, I thought they were gonna kill off Higgins!
