It annoys me that people needed to explain code permutations to William in this episode. I think previous episodes showed that William had a strong grasp of cyphers and he had made a dedicated personal study of them. I thought the ultimate invention resembled a game of Mousetrap! Also, when William threatened them all with the noose, my first thought was - William can most definitely act! He acts on a regular basis in the interrogation room. Perhaps he is only bad at acting when he has to say lines someone else wrote. It isn't so much that he's bad at acting but that he can't stand the inconsistencies in the script.

(Given the fact he was named "William"...) Also, when Julia laughed at the idea of William being an actor, was this what she was predicting?

Another ep a day! I almost watched the wrong ep. I started to watch episode 10 and thought.... this doesn't seem right.
1. I do like that the Inspector hated the idea of going to the dentist. Funny how people today hate going so much but the experience is a million times better than it used to be!
2. I love when Emily is a little sh!t to William, telling him that the victim died of a gunshot wound to the head- HA!
3. The only downside to having historical figures on the show is that you know they won't end up having to do with the murder!
4. Seeing all the technology in this episode is an absolute delight and I was so happy the lie detector was back!
5. I hope George did wind up inventing the clap activated lights!

3. The only downside to having historical figures on the show is that you know they won't end up having to do with the murder! I believe that's a challenge. The writers could make the historical figure the murderer if the history books never know about it.

This episode has been on several times in the past week including right now. Good thing it is one of my favourites!
We were fortunate to meet John Tench, the actor who played Alexander Graham Bell, at the MME this past weekend as a member of the cast meet and greet. Such a lovely man!! The general consensus is more AGB!!!

Yes, he seemed hopeful Bell would be back at some point......he pointed out Bell lived into his 80s, so they can't kill him off.....

I believe he asked us to "nudge" TPTB about a return of his character. So, Evil Pete, if you are reading, how about it! AGB has been pretty helpful to Murdoch in the past.

And since AGB invented the hydrofoil on Lac Bras D'Or in Cape Breton, it could be a good excuse to take Murdoch back to his roots, so to speak.......there was also his involvement in the Silver Dart in the same place around 1908.....
