Yeah, it was just that. Murdoch's always in Canada I didn't mean to be rude though.

I have to admit that I didn't really watch the last epis because I can't enjoy them when Julia isn't in them. It is even more annoying for me when she is not there at all than when she's with Darcy. So this epi I could watch and I am glad I did. It couldn't be any more obvious that these two belong together. If only they'd be together already...

I really hope that Julia comes back permanently! Dr Grace could be her assistant, perhaps?

Me too we will have to wait and see for season 6 to see if Julia is there full time, I want to see her in all the episodes next season. The episodes are way better when she is part of them

I really hope that Julia comes back permanently! Dr Grace could be her assistant, perhaps? That's what I thought would happen in S5. I doubt Dr. Grace would settle for being an assistant now after being in charge though.

Well, Doctor Grace could just do something stupid and get fired. I really hope they r not gonna match her with George. I would prefer Ruby back to flirt with George as she suggested to Julia in the Eugenic episode , that she may have someone else in mind than Berthy. I would love to see that.

Yeah, I really liked George and Ruby together, too. I think the problem is that Sarah Gadon (who plays Ruby) is not available enough. She may come back once or twice but in order for there to be a relationship with George, she'd have to be around more. I think they may have approached her about that for S5 (having Ruby have a permanent newspaper position in Toronto) but that she wasn't available for filming. That's why I fear that Dr. Grace will stay around to give George a romance. However, there is someone from her past returning in Murdoch Might in Canada that may shake things up. We'll see.

We know now that that someone from the past was a psycho so no chance of romance with him. I don't really want to see another episode concentrating on Doctor Grace. They want to make her part of the team but for me, she will never be. She came far too late for that and like we all said she has no chemistry with Georges. They should have chosen someone more similar to Ruby if they wanted a chance of romance with George. Surely, it can't be hard to find someone with the right personnality. Emily Grace is far too serious and has not got a sense of Humor at all. Julia was working at the morgue but had a sense of humor. Actually the choice of the 2 actresses playing the 2 sisters was perfect. :)Their scenes together are so funny and all the Ruby scenes are great too unlike the Doctor Grace's scenes wherever she is. Now , I miss the 2 sisters and not only Julia.

This was an interesting episode. It was great to see Dr. Roberts make an appearance, along with Gilles. I never guessed Gilles. I was thinking it was the Belly Speaker because of the dolls and the recorded messages. So Gilles was a great twist. What stumped me was the ending. Gilles played on Murdoch's intelligence to piece everything together, so I found it strange Murdoch actually believed Gilles was fine and dandy with being carted off back to prison. I thought for sure Murdoch would have figured out Gilles would have hatched an escape of some sort. Gilles is all about the mind, so of course he would have had a back-up plan if Murdoch failed.
Anyhoo, there was all kinds of lil things that I enjoyed. George and Higgins checking the thumb prints. That was funny. Especially when Murdoch shows up and says he knows who it is, just as Higging predicted. I still think a George/Higgins forbidden romance would really be top notch. These two fellas have great chemistry as friends and co-workers.
I'm not surprised Brackenreid cut off the head to his sister's doll. Some boys do that, and yes, he falls into that category of a boy who probably enjoyed tormenting his poor sister. I'm sure glad my brother adored and still adores me! LOL.
I was shocked to find out the headless man was Gilles' partner, but I guess I shouldn't have been. He double crossed Gilles who has proved who bad he is. The guy, in the previous episode, staged a murder just to see if he could do it. It shows he has little respect for human life, which makes for a great villain! I do hope they bring Gilles back.
I was hoping Julia would have helped Murdoch solve the case instead of being abducted by Gilles. Or, at least show Julia dealing with Gilles after being abducted. She's an intelligent and savvy woman. It would have been much better to watch her go head to head with the manipulative Gilles. I could have seen her provoking him, even getting under his skin. Having her just buried like that was too damsel in distress so here comes Dudley-Do Right to the rescue for me.
I'm beginning to warm to Dr. Grace. It must have been the last episode, because it gave me a better look at what makes her tick. I espeically like when she made the comment about the Headless Horseman. It was a bit blunt LOL, even...I can't find the word. I wish I could. It said much about how she handles seeing death 24/7. Julia has a sense of humour about it, and Dr. Grace is, not jaded. Darn, words are eluding me this morning. I should have waited till the afternoon to post LOL.
All in all an interesting episode and one I'd watch again. Lots of suspense. As I watched, I felt as if the clock was ticking. The writers did a great job.

To Nugget, I am so glad to read your comment and that you liked this episode. It is absolutely my favorite this season (first because I'm a W/J shipper but that is not being objective ) but also because everything else was brilliantly done: - Dr.Roberts & Alexander Bell coming back to help William in his investigation - The fingermarks scene with George & Henry (I felt so sorry for them when Murdoch came back and told them the dead body was Perry) - Bringing back Gillies who (you are right about it) killed a man for no other reason than experimenting a theory in Season 2 and now is after Murdoch for a twisted mind game. I do like your input about how the Julia's situation could have been played differently, it is interesting. So thank you again for your comments I always enjoy reading them!!! Next week episode is not one I really liked so I don't think I will be putting a comment; however I really loved the finale episode (it is very close behind Murdoch in Toyland) so hopefully we can exchange comments then. Take care

Oh noes, next week's episode isn't good? I've been really enjoying this season. I'm enjoying it as much as I enjoyed all of the past seasons.
