Not many women were actually hanged, I believe it was only around 7 for the entire time hanging was in effect. Interesting the women that were hanged as opposed to just jailed. It would appear Detective Murdoch was responsible for capturing 5 of them!

I was reading about these earlier this morning, and while the dolls look really creepy with their metal bodies, the history geek in me is totally excited about hearing the voices of those so long ago!  Interesting that even Edison thought they were creepy.

This has not been remastered as the doll's recordings have.

Another ep a day!

1. I love William's awkwardness when Julia comes to his office. And suuuure she was "in the area".

2. I love that George is like the ultimate shipper.

3. Julia was dying to tell William how unhappy she was.

4. Emily seems to have absorbed Julia's sense of humor.

5. I guess I've never dug up a grave but it seems like there wasn't much loose dirt around or on the coffin. Maybe that's part of why Julia asked William what took so long.


I just realized there wasn't much I found to talk about on this. I think I'm officially bored of Gillies now.

I believe the little girl that played Veronica is Peter Mitchell's daughter. I like this episode from a mystery perspective, and a teamwork perspective. I always enjoy it when Brax goes out with Murdoch for some investigating. But oddly, as soon as Gillies appeared I was bored too.
