While investigating the death of a politician, rumored to have been killed by a vengeful ghost, Crabtree's theories of the paranormal conflict with Murdoch's scientific beliefs.

I'm excited for this one. Darcy is back so looks like there will be some drama in with the supposed 'ghost' of queens park.

^^George had his unusual ghost theories as usual. Murdoch and Brackenreid disapproved as usual. Julia popped in randomly here and there as usual. Unusually, she laughed with Darcy. Also unusually, Emily for once didn't annoy me but Murdoch annoyed me greatly.
Overall I was underwhelmed with this one. Found myself bored with most of it. Strangely the highlights for me were all the scenes without Murdoch. The case was decent if not a bit hard to follow with all the names and whatnot. Never would have guessed how the killer was doing what they were doing so that was well done. I dunno, maybe my problem is that Au Naturel was just too perfect so anything after it is not living up to my expectations? :/
And now next week has that woman so if she screws stuff up for them I'm going to be super pissed. You know that could be part of why I had problems liking this episode. I was led to believe that she was going to be in THIS one so I kept dreading her appearance. Serves me right for reading spoilers. >.<

I'm not worried about whoever that woman is, W/J have been shown to be solid and very in love. I don't think the woman is any threat and neither is Darcy. It's not unusual for Julia to laugh with him, we've heard they'd seen each other off-screen so they're still friends. I have no problem with that. So long as he either lets the divorce go ahead or dies then he isn't an issue in my mind.

I loved this ep. Could have used more Murdoch doing cool things (is it just me, or is he not in the eps as much/as smartly as he used to be?). But loved Gemily and though the whole way they explained the ghost was pretty fab. Thought Queen's Park looked really beautiful as a setting. My 2nd fave ep of the season, by far. 1st is still au naturel - i'm with you PedanticPedestrian on that one!

^^Definitely not just you. I've noticed this since basically the third episode. It's becoming The Crabtree Mysteries from what I can tell. I'm all for having the others take a more active role once in awhile but it's starting to become ridiculous! Also thanks for following me on tumblr. You were my 99th follower!

I did not find the episode very good also. While season 6 is a big improvement on S5, I still do not find it as good as the first four seasons were. I am not enjoying Julia's new role simply because it limits her involvement in the cases to very little. There are even episodes like this one, where the only reason she is in the show is to be William's love interest. On that note, that seems to be the fate of all the woman characters now. Emily as the new coroner only seems to be able to figure out the bullet size!!!! She hardly contributes anything to the case either. She also serves more as a love interest for George than anything else.

I think the idea of Emily coming in was because they wanted to focus on the female pathologist role and even though it was uncommon in those days, someone needed to fill Julia's spot and it wasn't going to be Dr. Francis again! I enjoy Emily's character, even if it was predictable from the beginning that she was a love interest for George. But back to the episode. It was all right, not my favorite for the season (definitely Au Naturel wins that spot) but it was ok. They retouched on George's theories about the paranormal, and that's always cute. Glad Emily agrees with his theories.

Love reading all your comments I have to watch again the episode tonight as I saw it last night quite late and I got confused with all the names mentioned in the investigation (I think someone also mentioned that). Again it was a Crabtree's centered episode but I didn't mind that much because for once George got a chance to develop his super creative/original/demented theory rather than just mentioned it a bit and be dismissed by either William or Brackenreid. When I'll watch it again I think I'll get more the intricacy of the plot but (I don't know if other people felt that) at one point I felt that this investigation was rather complex and because I wasn't not able to follow everything I felt a bit stupid and I don't like feeling that when watching a show, I like to be intrigued and entertained but not feeling like because I didn't get all the plot I'm dumb (maybe watching it tonight again will be better). However I thought that the part about the radium was brilliant and I didn't know who was the "ghost" As for Emily and George, it was nice to see them investigating like this but watching that I actually thought "I wish they would do more of that for William & Julia" and as much as I liked the fact that she was defending George I felt that the way she talked to Murdoch referring to his "out of body" experience was a bit cold and rude, this is that sight of Emily that I didn't like in season 5 and seeing it again in last night's episode confirmed why I still have troubles connecting to her (even if I like her way better this season, last year I almost couldn't stand her sometimes). Now regarding my favorite couple William & Julia, (first Pedantic Pedestrian I can't believe that you didn't mention that it is the 1st time since the beginning of season 6 that we haven't seen that blue dress ). I wasn't so found of seeing Darcy back but they are not divorced yet and they do seem to stay on friendly and cordial terms so why not. I don't think there's anything to worry about (from Julia's side anyway as he was still pining, I mean I understand he still loves Julia it's not his fault that she's in love with William but I thought it was a bit sad that they have to fake things for mundane social function for his career). Anyway, she went back to see William after that event in this gorgeous dress and he was so happy to see her that is why I'm not concerned they do appear to be very committed to each other. I also loved loved loved that scene at the window shop very lovely and elegant in the way they showing their affection by only brushing fingers. So as I mentioned, I hope I'll get more of the plot by watching it again tonight and I might have more things to say!!

Unfortunately this is just the start of Darcy's appearances. and it looks like he still has a spot for Julia in his heart.

Unfortunately this is just the start of Darcy's appearances. and it looks like he still has a spot for Julia in his heart. Please Lauren, can you not post spoilers here :/, I decided not to go to the season 6 discussion with the (spoilers) because I know that there will be tons of info and so far I've been doing my best to avoid it; so that's why on this thread I only wanted to talk or read about this specific episode. I hope I'm not being a nag that is not my intention, but I do my best to avoid the information when it's clear that there is going to be spoilers but if nobody warns me in advance that the content will have some, how am I suppose to know? If I'm not mistaken you're the same person on the Alibi forum and so far you've respected that which is great and you said you run the Instagram page as well and I think I had to unfollow you because although your page is great, there were just too much info about this season, so it's not against you at all but obviously we're going to find ourselves in the same boards and all so if you're putting spoilers in a place where it's not mentioned in the thread, can I please ask you to say something like "spoiler alert" like that I know I can skip the message. Thanks for understanding
