I still don't understand the following:- a, why Julia's father didn't "walk her down the Isle" at Darcy Wedding b, why he didn't attend her trial, or at least "trump up" to see what they were going to do to sort it all out. c, Why Ruby wasn't on the phone to William when Julia was accused of murder ( I know they couldn't get the Actress, but she would have contacted William, even if she couldn't get there in person, we could have just had William / George's end of the conversation Who did walk her down the aisle at the wedding??? Great! another excuse to go back and watch that ep, HEHEHE Like I need an excuse. I am also liking the idea of them possible getting married on the ship. That would solve a lot of problems re religion. And YES!!! bring back some passion, it was greatly missed in s6. Mind you I loved that scene in the mortuary when Dr grace invited Julia back to help out and William gets caught by Emily staring off into space at her with a silly grin on his face - too cute.

Hi Carolion, sorry if you get 2 messages, I did try to reply, but not sure if it worked or not ( I have NOT got to grips with posting on this board yet!)
Julia walked herself down the Isle, and Yes, George is sweet!

^ Yes, that's what I think, too. It's a very modern perspective on raising children and religion to have your child decide on their own when they are old enough and not to influence them by raising them in a certain denomination, which I think she would believe in. We've discussed why Julia's father and Ruby were not at the trial before. Most likely they wouldn't have had time to get back to Toronto from being somewhere else in the world. It all happened very quickly. Trials were much faster back then and she wasn't in jail long before her execution date. And travel took MUCH longer then than it does now. Say that from her trial to her execution was three weeks (a week for the trial and 2 weeks from that until she was to be hanged-which was what James Pendrick's timeframe was when he was to be hanged). There's no way someone could have made it to North America from England or Europe in less than a month at that time. Ruby travels around the world as a reporter for the New York Times and Julia's father probably travels extensively given his wealth and profession, too. As for why her father didn't walk her down the aisle, I think Julia would have rejected the symbolism of her father giving her away to her husband. It's a very sexist custom in it's conception and I don't think she would have liked original meaning. And she would have known the original meaning behind the custom. That's why she went down the aisle solo, like many women do today. She's an independent woman after all.

I asked on twitter to CBCmurdoch when this boat episode is airing, whether it was early or later in the season, and their answer was "very early". Premiere?! That's what I'm thinking.
Also, more dominoes! Yay

I think it is about time the dominoes were put away and they get down to the real game.

Here's one of Julia on the ship. They are filming one episode on the SS Keewatin. And Thomas on the same ship. The constables at stationhouse #4:

Murdoch would call it an 'intelligent portable telephone'
Loving Julia's new dress. Hope she gets a wardrobe full of new outfits.

I'm fairly certain in that interview I read with Yannick and Helene, Helene stated that the boat episode was the season opener. I'm not sure if that's true or not, though.
I love her dress, glad to see she seems to have a variety of clothes this season.
And please, please, no Titanic-like scenes. I hated that film, and the song irritated me.

There's a new web series coming!! "We're working on it" - from CBCMurdoch on twitter. Yay! But I have doubts if anything can too The Murdoch Effect. That was the best web series by far. I asked that question, so you're welcome.
