This was my first episode of the show and I loved it! Being a bit of bicycle nut, I was drawn to watch due to the story about the race and how Murdoch is a cyclist himself. What a fun episode! It was a good one for me to get introduced to the show. Was very glad to see Major Taylor being referenced as a character in the show. The chase at the end was very exciting and I loved the scene of Murdoch racing across the grass to intercept the racers.
I've binged my way through four full seasons now!

To answer CosmicCavalcade's and Shangas's question from last year:
Experiments in blood transfusions had been going on for some time (remember the 'vampire' episode 'Bloodlust' from season 5). So Padgett could easily figure out that switching the blood *could* (though not necessarily *would*) result in death. I think he was just taking the chance that one or both of them would die from it.

And just noticed this. (Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere.) At the end, when Murdoch denies that he's jealous about Leslie Garland...
Yep. Looks to the left. *grin*

Looks to the left. *grin* lol - I hope Yannick does this consciously. Otherwise, we're going to start looking for it. And when it turns out to be a tic/reflex, we will find him looking to the left every time he declares sweet love for Julia!

If anyone's curious, this is what was on the odds board right at the beginning:
Fenton at 2:1 Taylor at 4:1 Chase at 6:2 Milner at 4:1.5? Hard to read that one. Smitty at 8:1 Jarvis at 12:7 Murdoch at 17:1 Durant at 16:3

Chime in anytime about any episode or topic that interests you. Hmmm, 4 seasons already? Yep, you're hooked all right.

It boggles my mind to think you've only had MM in your life for a year at most. I know you didn't get it when it was on CITY. Did you watch S5-7 and then go back to see S1-4? (And then have to go back to do the whole series in order ??!!)

I watched the new eps on CBC and found S5-7 on the CBC website and watched them whilst waiting for the new eps to come back on. I then got S1-4 as an early b'day present and watched them ... in about three weeks. Then carried on through S5-7 again. Then went back to the beginning and did it all over again. If it hadn't been for Igor Pugdog I would never have even watched in the first place. I will be forever in his debt!!

Gee, guys thanks. Really making me feel like an "old" fan here. First season I watched "live" was Season 3, but before that I'd already watched seasons 1-2 courtesy of Netflix DVD's.
