I'm not overly excited about Sherlock's reappearance, but I'm willing to give him a try. Perhaps he'll be less annoying this time around.
And the title of this episode is terrible. XD I'm sorry, but they could have been a LITTLE more creative.

Let me guess. He stumbles into Station House No. 4 as a decrepit old bookseller, trying to push copies of The Holy War and Catallus on Murdoch?

No, he's hired by a young boy to find his missing nanny. And there's more dead people too.

Julia and William need to kiss, before my brains explode out of my head.
I liked Sherlock better this episode, oddly enough. I enjoyed this episode far more than his previous one.
Oh, and the case was much much better! First, I thought the guy from the hotel did it- hey, he crossed himself. Nobody does that but Murdoch. He's automatically a suspect- and then I thought the 'father' did it.
I snickered at the part where the guy was being pervy.
And Julia&Emily's discussion about Jilliam was way too awesome. Next, George needs to invent the 'Jilliam' shipping name. xD

Second that! Definitely, though it was maybe a little hard to follow due to Sherlock's rapid dialogue. How very Murdochian of him. It was awesome but also made me sad because she beamed so much about their relationship in the beginning and not so much about its current state. :/ Anyway, I liked the shout out to S1's Body Double and also the considerable nod towards Weekend at Bernie's and the scene where George goes into the house and is called back to dig while they stand on the side lines and Emily bringing up Jilliam. These were all well done. But I wasn't enamored with this episode. I guess I'm hard to please. I didn't like last weeks because there was no case to speak of but I wasn't in love with this week's either because it was TOO much about the case. What I want is for them to strike that awesome balance they had in S1-4 in virtually every episode and not have it so one sided. I don't like this idea of sacrificing the plot for the sake of comedy and vice versa.

Oh- I didn't find him hard to follow at all. I have a few friends who talk at lightning speed, and I've gotten quite used to it.
I saw that, on your Tumblr! It made my day! We are so not pervy! ....much.
... I guess she was thinking about the beginning of their relationship, before everything came between them? I really like the easiness between William and Julia this season. It's so much better than the last one. And I swear, her hair just makes the character. JK. I'm not that shallow.
Yeah, I laughed aloud at that. Poor George, doing all the work.
I'm with you on that one, but I do believe these episodes are better than the majority of season six's.
Oh, I've got another thing- where's Higgins? I don't recall him being in last week's ep, either. :/ Damn, I never thought of that. He should have been around to make fun of movie star George.

Well la-di-da.
Haha, yeah.
I can't confirm or deny this until I do a rewatch of all episodes. I know I didn't much enjoy the S6 one so we'll see how it turns out this time around. Sometimes my opinion drastically changes.
Higgins wasn't in this ep, that's true but he was in one short scene in the last one. He provided some useful info to Murdoch when they actually bothered to work on the case. But yeah, he's definitely being underutilized in recent seasons. I want that snarky banter between the two constables again!

Oh yeah, I forgot about that scene!
My opinions are pretty permenant; they usually only change just slightly as things are pointed out to me. At least, for thing such as films, books, and shows.
I still don't like Emily very much, I'm afraid. She's grown on me, but she still doesn't quite fit. I'm in no way feeling the chemistry between her and George.

Well I hated fake Sherlock's portrayal last season but after a rewatch I thought it was okay. Lol yeah, her and Julia have way more chemistry than her and George! XD I felt that even in like the second episode of S5 when she asked Julia to join her 'woman's meeting' (which btw they just up and dropped!) >.< But Julia pretty much has chemistry with everyone, except for maybe Brackenreid. I don't think he's ever really liked her a whole lot for some reason. Probably thinks Murdoch should have more control over her or something even though he himself can't keep Margaret in line very often.

I just watched this episode. It's not bad. I feel it had a similar comedic-crime makeup as did the one involving Pendrick, but to a lesser extent.
This crime is possibly one of the most depressing I've ever seen in the MM series so far. It's just so sad and manipulative. But the bad guys get their cumuppence in the end. Yay!
I was hoping that the Sherlock Holmes character might've snapped out of it, and established himself as a separate private detective in Toronto (or in Canada in general), but this is good, too. Perhaps if he comes up in a third episode, they might explore that avenue.

I loved this ep, back to the Murdoch of seasons 1-4. Great crime and a nice balance of comedy and one liners with out turning into a ham fest like last week.
The chat between Emily and Julia was so cute, maybe it will get Julia thinking and stir her into action....Finally. And I loved the part where they discovered Holmes was hired by a kid. I couldn't help thinking with the 3 of them in the same room 'asperges united' lol. There was no way that crime wasn't going to get solved. Missed the pervy guy??? will have to watch again for that one. But the Weekend at Bernies moment was funny.
I also loved Brackenreids reaction to the whole thing initially....so Brackers.

I wasn't keen on this episode. It's the only dud of S7 so far. I didn't like the other characters being under used just so an annoying character like Sherlock could take over. The show doesn't work as well without the chemistry and team work of all the cast. The only interesting scenes were when they got something to do. I really do like Julia and Emily working as a team, and Julia being more hands on with the cases.
The only other upside, besides W/J cute banter, was they didn't have the killers hanging around the plot as much as they normally do, so the solution wasn't quite as obvious. But I figured the mother or father had to be the killer as there was no-one else.
I won't be that eager to rewatch this one in the future. And I hope Sherlock doesn't come back.

I think they're saving a kiss so it has more of an impact when it happens again. I expect their next kiss will be very romantic and passionate when it finally arrives.
Of course she's not overly fond of the limbo state their relationship is in at the moment. They're back to not quite dating. She did say they've barely begun so she see's a future and that's a good thing. As for the excitement well the aren't having loads in their relationship right now. It's stalled, but they definitely do still have the chemistry and the banter. Julia obviously wants them to be a proper couple again but they don't feel it's the right time yet with all the baggage left over from Gillies. They'll get there. The writers have to draw it out to fill out their storyline. The heat and them being a couple will return before long.
