Eclair's words of wisdom for this episode: "The women get guns and the men get brooms!" (Wait until he sees the women get their hands on the axes...)

CBC just replayed this one tonight.....I love this episode.....good thriller mixed with a lighter story.....It is also good to see curling get some love. It is one of the most popular sports in Canada and we have done very well at it in international competitions, but it gets dismissed as a boring sport for older country club types.. It actually has a lot of strategy to it and I've always found it entertaining to watch.....

Points are scored for proximity to the centre of the House (or Pot Lid as Leslie Garland called it), with stones being strategically placed to guard stones placed in a good scoring position. William was hoping his rock would curl in behind the guard and stick the closest to centre.......

1. I do like this episode, but horror stuff with gore and jump scares are not my favorite. I'm on edge the entire time. 2. I giggle every time the Inspector asks "Bloody Hell, Murdoch, what did you do?!" 3. At least Julia told Emily. This angst could have gone on much longer if Emily wasn't there to talk julia into telling William. 4. George going back to the station drunk is just golden. "We could beat him with our eyes behind our backs." Too funny 5. William playing sports is just too good. I enjoy it every time.

I thought the conversation that William had with George at the end was as personal a talk as I've seen him have with someone other than Julia. Quite the contrast with how he was after Julia moved to Buffalo. I quite liked it. Of course I bet George was sorry he ever said Leslie Garland was a gentleman LOL.

2. I giggle every time the Inspector asks "Bloody Hell, Murdoch, what did you do?!" Mrs. Brackenreid trained her husband well!

I loved the personal talk with George (and the thought of William getting drunk on something non-alcoholic), but I felt the talk was undermined by its inconsistency with the actual arc of the show. William waded very slowly into his love for Julia and dated another woman during Season 2. The complication of his developing feelings was part of what made William and Julia's relationship interesting and "adult". Suddenly presenting William as someone who had spent 8 years as a lovesick puppy was not only inaccurate, it makes William's character less than what we've been given.
