Hi everybody! I have to make it clear that this new thread is not for you if you don't like SPOILERS! I saw some pictures from the filming of the eighth season and I thought you would like to see them so I wanted to share the links: - /photo/1. As you can notice, they started to film/shot the third episode of the season eight. Indeed, you can read "803" in the top right corner of the clap. So it makes me think -and I don't know why- that the first two must be one episode in two parts. - Zoom on the left of this picture: ow.ly/i/5MpqR/original. Say "hello" to the Inspector BRACKENREID! - 38.media.tumblr.com/0dec29b625a690ed09c06299866711b8/tumblr_n87n5mice91rqd5leo1_1280.jpg. This picture was posted by Harryronhermioneginny on tumblr with a comment which caught all my attention. I quote: "Is that a church I see?".

It's definitely a church and there have been more photos on tumblr recently that have got me rather excited. Not to mention a trolling comment by Maureen herself.

This picture was posted by Harryronhermioneginny on tumblr with a comment which caught all my attention. I quote: "Is that a church I see?". It's okay to lay on the spoilers - we've already been speculating on these things! Maureen Jennings dropped a big hint yesterday that Episode 100 would include a Special Event: Credit: 22OntarioStreetHowever, there has been much discussion here about how the wedding could not take place in a church because Julia is, nominally, a Protestant, and William, is a Catholic. In fact, technically, William faces excommunication for even marrying Julia. He definitely can't get her into a Catholic church unless she converts. We were discussing Allan Gardens as a possible wedding site, but having a wedding within sight of a church (2 churches?) might be nice, too. I've been joking about the idea of a disaster "threatening" to happen throughout the wedding. The interesting thing is the beautiful Allan Gardens conservatory actually burned down in 1902. So there could be various causes of fire - even a villain with a bomb threat - menacing the whole wedding. But then after the wedding is accomplished safely and the mystery is solved, the staff is locking up the conservatory for the evening...and the last shot is something like an abandoned cigar - something we've seen throughout the whole episode - innocently falling off the table. And we know it caused it fired. End of episode. Tee hee. XD Regarding the 2-part episode: we think this is the one that will have stories from William's past - at least the part at the logging camp! Someone is going to have to explain how that boy ended up being schooled by Jesuits, working as a ranch hand, learning to box, as well as well as the basic skills of Tae Kwon Do (Victoria Cross), and teaching himself just about everything to do with practical science all before joining the Toronto constabulary.

If it's a church, and if William and Julia proceed to get married in that church, then the whole MM team are going to have to return the kudos they received in this article for historical accuracy: www.theloop.ca/making-the-grade-how-accurate-are-period-dramas/Or that episode has some very fancy cross-religious 'splaining to do!

Julia got married to Darcy in a church... I'm not so sure about definitely can't get her in there. I did a little research for one of my fics and it seemed like as long as she agreed to certain stipulations then they could get married in a catholic church. She had to agree to allow her husband to raise their offspring Catholic and she also had to never undermine his faith. I think you can tell how that turned out in the fic. It'll definitely be something. There's no way it'll be smooth sailing for them. It never is. And there has to be a murder or some kind of mystery particularly if it's a two parter. Murdoch's secretly a spy and been working for Meyers all this time.

You've meticulously documented how automatically oppositional she can be. William working for Meyers? Neverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Still have to work through your fics! Sorry - intimidated by there being so many of them! D:

Can't tell exactly if it's her though. I think it has to be someone else's wedding in the church, though William and Julia may get married in that episode. Here is a link to the Tumblr tag in case more pics come up: www.tumblr.com/search/Murdoch+Mysteries/recentI can't remember the entire discussion, but there is some reason William is screwed if he gets married in the Protestant church. Or maybe they just don't allow Catholics. Anyway, I think the historical nitpicking would come down like a ton of bricks. Also I hope church wedding doesn't imply a frou-frou dress.

She tries to agree to it for William's sake but in the end she can't and they just get married in a 'regular' church. I think she ends up blowing up in the priests face during their 'interview' with him. Haha for awhile people thought Leslie was a spy working for Clegg. You should be intimidated! I've scared myself!

But the first pic in that link is that of Jonny NOT dressed in his constable's outfit...so unless he's the best man for a different acquaintance it doesn't really add up....unless it's Gemily's wedding. I think I would shoot someone if they got married first.

Please, share the links and let us watch them! Sorry I was excited... Can't tell exactly if it's her though. I see some constables on the first photo but there are also a lot of people and I didn't think that Julia and William could have so many guests for their wedding. That's true! I don't recognize Hélène JOY. But perharps they use a stand-by for the rehearsal in order to take some landmarks before starting filming.

I agree Julia would get married in a church even though she's not religious herself. She may even go to church occasionally just as a matter of social propriety. The problem that would prevent a wedding occurring in a church is doctrinal: William and Julia adhere to two different faiths - these faiths are incompatible, and have literally been at war with each other for hundreds of years. Moreover at that point religious institutions are still entangled with political institutions - hence the whole Orangemen/Irish bloodshed. If Julia blows up at the priest during an interview, it will be the *priest* that prevents the wedding in the church. But again, the wedding could end up taking place outside, across the street, within view of the Church. >.> The question is, who would marry them? They might have to find a Unitarian, lol. Leslie would make an awesome triple agent: the Philip K. Dick kind who has been turned so many times that he can't even remember who he is anymore.

Sorry I was excited... Can't tell exactly if it's her though. Perhaps the constables are guarding the wedding, and some mystery is involved there. But again, that doesn't mean that William and Julia's wedding can't take place during this episode! Voting for a beautiful arbor spot with lots of flowers.

Voting for a beautiful arbor spot with lots of flowers. Or they are simply there because it's Jilliam's wedding and Murdoch invited them to come...they wore their constable's outfits for Julia's first wedding so I don't see why that would change here. But George would be a best man probably so he would be dressed up special, which is confirmed (more or less) in another photo.
