Or they are simply there because it's Jilliam's wedding and Murdoch invited them to come...they wore their constable's outfits for Julia's first wedding so I don't see why that would change here. But George would be a best man probably so he would be dressed up special, which is confirmed (more or less) in another photo. Are you sure that's George? I'm not so sure. D: The woman almost looks like Mrs. Brackenreid.

Someone else speculated the same thing. I don't think she's getting remarried unless her husband actually did die which we know he didn't. Don't know why she's in white...

OMG. this Tumblr post is the best commentary on my fellow Americans ever: calicovirus.tumblr.com/post/90857587615/holy-lakemonster-batman-reblogged-yourAnd the beautiful irony here is half of our TV is made in Canada since it's cheaper, but most of my fellow U.S. citizens wouldn't know that because high blood sugar and caffeine addiction is making us stupid. XD And Americans just watch Downton Abbey because some phone app newsfeed TOLD THEM IT WAS THE THING TO DO!!! ROFLMAO! AAAAAAAAAAAAAuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugggggggggggggggggghhhhh. I want to immigrate to Canada where there's smart people and decent healthcare.

They could both be members of the wedding party - which would make sense for William and Julia's wedding. But as fans said, that's a lot of attendees. And starting off the show with someone else's wedding is just the sort of troll that Team MM would pull on the fans.

But the first pic in that link is that of Jonny NOT dressed in his constable's outfit...so unless he's the best man for a different acquaintance it doesn't really add up....unless it's Gemily's wedding. I think I would shoot someone if they got married first. Now wait just a minute. There is definitely a bride in one of the pictures, sitting on the church steps. Couldn't the Tumblr person confirm whether that is Helene Joy? That would at least tell us whether THE wedding is happening in episode 100, whether it's the one going on in the church or not. Ps. The bad news is I think I see a frou-frou dress. ...and wearing *white*...again...?

They'll be trollin for sure. I bet it's gonna look like they aren't gonna get married for whatever reason but then in the last few minutes they'll pull the rabbit out of the hat. If they really wanna surprise me they could do another wedding dream sequence from Julia's point of view and I would never see it coming because it would be a stupid twist.

No she couldn't confirm because she couldn't get close enough to see properly and then apparently some rent a cops came and told people to leave...or maybe it was the homeless people they told to leave...in any case she left at that point. Yeah I almost don't want it to be Julia if she's wearing another hideous monstrosity.

I mean the bride herself, sitting on the stairs, is in white. Julia should be wearing tea-dyed, silver, blue. I've even seen some pictures of women of that era remarrying in black! A MEGA-troll would be if William and Julia encounter a wedding obstacle in this episode (it's really hard to see a ring in those Votes For Women pics), but then they reconcile and marry by the end of the season. But if Team MM did that I think the fan rage would be such that many would depart in protest and not stick around to see the happy outcome, lol. XD In my personal opinion, they should have held out until the end of the season, because they're already putting a ticking time bomb under the show just by having the marriage. In American terms, MM is less than 5 seasons old.

Yeah I almost don't want it to be Julia if she's wearing another hideous monstrosity. Very convenient from an MM marketing POV. What are the chances of it being a paid Tumblr post? >.> ITA on the dress. Julia should get to marry with some aube-de-siecle moderne class this time. With the sexy bohemian style she has shown for most formal occasions. Maybe Tesla can do the lighting.

In American terms, MM is less than 5 seasons old. Going back to your first post, the first episode they shot for S8 was #803 because that was the episode Yannick directed and whichever one he directs has to be the first one they film for the season. After that he wouldn't be able to manage all the acting and directing responsibilities....so I've heard. hhhmmm...haven't seen any of those pics before! thanks for posting snacky. So, hey! a wedding! I don't want that one to be J & W's!!!! I pictured something low-key and elegant. William said he wants/needs to marry in a Catholic church so, yes, I expect a church wedding but not THAT one! Nooooo! I'd agree that they'd be throwing all their 1902 research out the window if they went that route. Hopefully its some other wedding that's part of the mystery for the episode but not to say that Julia & William's isn't in the story line. Apparently they're working on the 100th episode now as I saw a pic in the MM facebook site on Friday - Yannick holding a banana that had 3 lit candles stuck into it for "100". Haha! I've seen clips from shows in the States where they bring out huge cakes and there's a quick celebration with cast and crew for the 100th episode.....I hope Murdoch Mysteries had more than Yannick with a candlelit banana. I had an evil mini-thought of Ruby coming back to Toronto for Julia's wedding only to announce her own upcoming big bash nuptials to some rich and famous dude and wildly upstaging Julia and William's quiet and refined wedding. But they probably can't afford Sarah Gadon now! As for the guys wearing their uniforms to the wedding. IMHO Julia's wedding to Darcy was not the same for them as attending the wedding of a fellow officer's. I think they left work early to go to Julia's wedding in uniform, then some of them went back to work at the Stationhouse soon after. William's wedding would be a pretty big deal for them. William would likely arrange the ceremony, lunch or dinner or whatever on a different shift so they could all attend as friends and in those circumstances they would not wear their uniforms.

What do you mean by 'throwing all their 1902 research out the window'?

My sentiments exactly! We're coming up on The Gilded Age now, and elegance will be in! When did William say he needs to marry, literally, in a Catholic church? I don't think that can happen. Sorry William. Credit: 22OntarioStreetRegarding the banana - I just realized today all the Freudian implications and snorted my ginger juice. btw, ginger juice hurts if you laugh-snort it. I just checked IMBD, and you're right about Sarah Gadon. The George/Ruby ship has officially sunk. Since it's doubtful William will be able to get ahold of Jasper or his father either, that might be the impetus for a very intimate little wedding in a time-travelling Elvis chapel delivered by Emily's tardis. I love your theory of who is getting married though - especially after Ruby's wild gadabout life!!!! Maybe they will get a different actress to play Ruby and hope no one notices. I agree that William regards Station House 4 as his family, despite all The Rules of Professionalism that say to separate the personal from the workplace. The pathetic guy has no one else: he even does Christmas dinner with the Brackenreids. He's like their Very Strange Son who lives in the basement building stuff, and they will be glad to see him finally married off!

What do you mean by 'throwing all their 1902 research out the window'? I think she's referring to all the research we did on what it would involve for Catholics and Protestants to marry. It actually took our discussion here into some exciting directions. Like what if William did something out of a matter of conscience which got him, at least temporarily, excommunicated? ANGST-O-RAMA!!! I'm so hoping that will happen! Credit: 22OntarioStreet

I tried to track down some of the religious discussion: First there is the thread discussing Julia's religion: murdochmysteriesfans.proboards.com/thread/753/religion-lack-thereof-julia-ogdenAnd then there is the thread discussing Julia's wedding planning, starting on page 2: murdochmysteriesfans.proboards.com/thread/745/julia-bridal-shop?page=2At this point I get confused: either there is another thread, or some religious person has demanded some mod deletions, though I can't imagine what was offensive. What I remember is after posting the picture of St. Michael's, I realized - from the Religious thread discussion - that the wedding couldn't take place there. I also found out on the St. Michael's web page that the interior of the Church is undergoing construction, so that's not a good place to film. Somewhere we had some discussion about Canadian wedding practices. I found an old web site with a library exhibit on 19th century Canadian weddings which included excerpts from journals, and that included a Catholic/Protestant one. This led me to a couple books on the history of marriage in Canada, which included Catholic/Protestant examples, and I linked to those. Anyway, I'm remembering a lot more conversation than I see now, especially about why St. Michaels couldn't be the venue. Are we warned if our posts get modded? *scratches head* What a bummer if some of the research on Canadian weddings was lost because someone had some religious objections to the turn of the conversation. Some of it had to be recovered from archive.org. Ps. This image from CosmicCavalcade might come in useful when dealing with the wedding "revelations".

I don't think that bride actually looked like Julia. Though I can't be sure. I won't complain what she wears or where they get married. After 8 series I'd just like them to get married.
