I had a swell time, especially in the back lot behind the station. The Bullet ride was terrific and I don't know if I should be telling you this but I found out quite a bit about it that we didn't know before and I am pretty sure MM didn't want us to know. Does this mean we will see the Bullet again?! I can't say. It's not only the fans that are crazy about the Bullet. Even the MM crew are. However, they seem to have some trouble replicating the sort of cars that were in existence in 1901/1902. I get the feeling they are more comfortable with what was around in 1907 and later but we'll see what they do. What I found about the Bullet was something else. You know how Pendrick told William to put his foot down and accelerate etc., pointed out the pedals and all the fancy stuff that made us go crazy with excitement out here? Well, it turns out that the Bullet has no pedals, no dashboard and .....! It's all automated . A couple of buttons you press and you are up and running. I found it even more exciting.

That was such a caricature of Americans it's hard for me to believe that wasn't staged in some way. There are people like that, you know. Celebrities live in fear every day and pray that they do not come across some lunatic that obsess over them in such a way. Fancy holding a video conference just for good measure. There are real obsessed lunatics, but also I wonder if there aren't occasions to set up a fake obsessed lunatic. Sorry for the conspiracy theory - I'm sure this was an actual embarrassing American. With all the online shills and scams we've seen over the years, though, it makes me wonder what the occasion might be to have gauche American tourists for props, as it were.

I got to meet Shelley the skeleton as well. He didn't seem pleased to see anyone but he did let me take a photo and said to say hi to you all. Shelleeeeeeeeeeeey! Hope you got a hug and gushed as much as that lady did over Yannick, ahahahaha. You bet I did!

Somewhere in my very busy schedule I took time out to visit the Queens Hotel with the hope of spending the night and doing a bit of sleuthing myself, investigating the small matter of a certain dominos game. Needless to say I couldn’t get in.

Needless to say I couldn’t get in. LOL - I just noticed that certain "precaution" Mr. Prop Monkey took against Domino Investigators. I myself have always been curious about the variety of room styles represented as "Queens Hotel" over the years, from lavish to spartan. If William and Julia are staying there for their honeymoon, I certainly hope it's not in the plain rooms they stayed at during the Gillies investigation! Glad you avoided exploding yourself!

I didn’t know what to expect before I got there but I was quite surprised at what I saw. The first thing that struck me was how closed-in the set was. It was a far cry from the spruce, spacious scenes we see on TV, especially indoors. The morgue for one looked pretty tight and with so many people milling around, it looked even smaller. I was blown away by it all. It is amazing the transformation provided by the technology of the long range, wide angle cameras used for the show. It makes sense now why they have so many shots from chest high. You don’t see what their hands are doing. The camera men and props and mic men and the actors literarily stand on eachother to shoot a scene. I appreciate a lot more now the effort that goes into getting the finished product they give us. MM does a great job of getting mileage from what they have considering their low budget and the challenges it brings. We really don't know how much we get from the little they have. Amazing!

Here's sort of something but not really. Gloat much? btw, where is your original source for this? I'd be interested in seeing the Canadian commentary. I just did a search on YT for recently posted MM vids. There weren't many views at the time and no comments. Edit: I just did another search and now the husbands interview is up. YT won't let me copy and paste the url for some reason and I don't feel like actually watching it but I assume it will be a night and day scenario with his wife.

OMG. I am really quite speechless after watching this. If someone said, "make a short video of person exhibiting the worst and most characteristic behaviors of the stereotypical fan," this would be it. Sorry, I have to go find a rock to hide under for a while. It would really be the stereotypical AMERICAN fan. I'm sad to say thai I agree. I promise, we aren't all like that.

The back lot was abuzz with activity. It was probably the best part of the experience for me (besides meeting Mrs B which was really great). I visited the embassy, took a walk around town and hung out with other fans. The "Canadian Embassy"? Does that portend an episode? Perhaps to go with the episode we already know takes place in Washington...a la Helene's twitter pic "Julia for President".

If you guys got FB accounts you could probably view people's comprehensive set photos. Or if you wait longer I'm sure CBC will eventually post some pics.

There were fans of all ages there, from age zero to infinity, lol! It was interesting to see. The youngest one I saw was a sweet little baby girl barely a month old, restlessly waiting in the queue with her parents to see Murdoch’s office. Not sure if she would have seen anything, her eyes were closed the whole time as she tried to take a nap .

I have often wondered about the size of the sets and the authenticity of the props so your comments about how much work it is to film in the morgue and offices were really interesting. It helps us to appreciate how much work it is to produce our entertainment. All I would like to say to the cast and crew is a big thanks for putting this great series together.
