Hey Ho everybody. I just received and read Shipwreck. I will gladly send it to anyone who wants to read it and as far as I am concerned it can make the rounds. Of course if we want to remain more or less anonymous that wouldn't work. Oh well, just a thought. I am unsure whether or not I should disclose anything about the book. I don't think it added anything of significance to what we already knew and it contradicts what I thought we knew. How old was William when his mother died? If I am wrong about that then this short story might add to our knowledge of his earlier life. Could you start a new thread divulging what you know? That way, anyone who wants to avoid it, can. I just bought it for 2.99 on the US iTunes Store for anyone interested. Shiprwreck is on my list (for next week) too. Starting a thread sounds good. I imagine there's a lot to discuss between what we learn from the book and what we already believe about William. I'm also sure we can go a whole lot further with the fertile imaginations among this lot!

But he does iron at least. It's cut off here... I think what I like best about this pic (besides the obvious eyecandy), is that he's doing it in his office, where Julia anyone can come by and see it. It's almost like a bad fanfic where William waits for George's cue that Julia is on her way and that's when he whips the shirt off and starts ironing it, just waiting for her to come in. " Hey gurrrrlll! Julia, what a surprise to see you here! Or, a fic that happens at their house after they're married. This is what happens when you're bored, and waiting for MM to start back up again. As Julia walked into William's study, she was greeted with a sight of William in just his undershirt, and trousers slung low on his hips. Ironing his shirts just as the Jesuits had taught him. "I dare say, Mr. Murdoch, whatever the Constabulary is paying you, I'll pay you double to be my house boy." "Really, double? What would my duties be?" "Oh, laundry, general house maintenance. Stud service." She murmured the last bit, he wasn't sure he'd heard correctly. "So long as you're wearing your uniform, of course," she stipulated, stepping into his space, and wrapping her arms around his neck. "Of course. I believe in propriety. One should always be appropriately attired." "Most excellent, detective. When can you start?" "Now seems as good a time as any," he offered, divesting her of her blouse. It seems that they would both be late for work. Again. In case anyone is interested, the expanded version is up at ff.net. www.fanfiction.net/s/10791789/1/AppreciationQuestion:Should I keep posting links, or do you guys regularly stalk ff.net to where it's not necessary?

I usually check once a day, though up until a few weeks ago, it was rather pointless to do this. ;D And in case you haven't realized, there are actually a few stories in the crossover section...I liked the one with Wolverine in it. No seriously. It was well written and I learned stuff!

Whilst I occasionally check ff.net I would appreciate giving us the links so we can jump right to your stories. I'm now off to read this one.

Still, a nicely treated idea.

Just watched "Tattered and Torn" with Eclair, and it seems to me that Former Detective Lamb is a good example of the lawman who gets frustrated with the failings of the system and who turns to "jungle justice". I wonder if William will have him in mind while he's looking for where the line is and where he can cross it.

I'm really liking this season so far. This episode was really good, showing the difference between how the law is conducted in America and Canada. Bat Masterson was not impressed at having George as a sidekick but their scenes were funny. I also liked the fact that there's a continuity with Julia not wanting a bachelorette party considering what happened to the last one Emily and her went to. I'm also impressed with the storyline concerning Julia and her decision to get married in the church for William, it was handled with a lot of thoughts for both parties, very well done. As for William he was particularly funny in this episode between thinking of staying at his boarding house once married until he built his house (how sweet….but I can only imagine Julia's face about that ) to loosing his composure in the brothel lol. I'm going to miss my Murdoch Monday next week but I CAN'T WAIT for the 100th episode it is going to be awesome I'm sure!!!! I liked this and it had some great moments. I'm not a huge fan of Westerns so I guess that's how I saw this one but it WAS a Murdoch episode so I loved it on that basis and of course for the fun moments you mentioned.

II'm not a huge fan of Westerns so I guess that's how This episode is a double parody. First it ridiculed bad spaghetti westerns. Second, MM parodied itself to offer up a lot of "bachelor party" fan service. Yannick was trying to stretch himself creatively and intellectually: RESPECT!

Yannick was trying to stretch himself creatively and intellectually: RESPECT! Oh alright ! With all due respect I don't care much Westerns. I used to hate Westerns, too, but in grad school I read a lot about the big mythic themes behind them, so now they are a little more interesting to me. And of course most Sci Fi movies/tv shows are just westerns set in space. Anyway, I've watched juuuuuuust enough really bad Westerns (some made in Europe!) to get a laugh out of what Yannick was trying to do. He actually got double mileage out of the Magic Homburg: it's both a feature of a cheap Western and fan service rolled into one shot. Now that's genius! It makes me *headdesk* if some apology were actually issued over that.

1. William was kind of skeptical of Bat. Maybe slightly jealous of his fame? 2. Julia definitely took Father Clemens statement of "It's not your gift to grant" as a quick way out of having the ceremony there. Lucky for William Father Clemens called her out on how she's usually very determined. 3. While William & Julia seemed fairly unexcited having Margaret help with the wedding, it's a good job she did! Neither of them seem to be doing any planning. 4. I will always be confused by William being so nervous about that "private interview". He's never been uncomfortable before. Plus he isn't flustered by Eva in the slightest and he even admitted to being attracted to her. 5. "One drink". I bet William wasn't up for breakfast at 6 am

However, all is forgiven for that vision of The Murdochinator. I need to put that on a t-shirt one day.
