I just remembered that Edna offered George tea in the pilot and then they proceeded to kiss. She asked him up for tea at night again, her son is not home, she's an experienced widow...all looks good for George...assuming he can fix the plumbing first that is. #Murdochsnottheonlyonegettingluckythisseason I know! My thought when she invited him over and mentioned that Simon was out for the night was "George is getting laid tonight!" Also, I just realized that William made that whoopee cushion himself! That's what he was working on when George came into his office!

And I guess he was stretching out the rubber beforehand or something when the inspector caught him. I half thought he was working out sex kinks. I guess I didn't figure it out earlier cuz it's such a crass thing for Murdoch to do. Turns out he still has the sense of humour of a six year old. Not unlike myself.

I'm just laughing now picturing Murdoch dismissing Ed Ward and then discreetly investigating the whoopie cushion so he can determine the construction and measurements.

I pictured them using silk scarves, ties, maybe Julia's stockings, but rubber? Can you write that fic please? I knew he was up to something when Brax caught him gesturing/practicing, but I thought he was planning something for George or someone else at work. I didn't expect Julia-and I'd forgotten about it until the end when I saw him acting weird. Typical boy! Gross out humor on your girl has been done for longer than I thought. I was expecting the flowers to squirt water as well!

I'm going to write my thoughts about the episode soon but first I have a request for the wonderful writers of fanfics on this board!!! Someone must write something about the last scene between William & Julia, it was hysterical, plus William planned it for so long and was so proud of himself. I'm sure one of you can come up with something fantastic!!!

Overall it was a light hearted episode, I thought George & Henry were ridiculous as the Inspector & William but because I was sure both of them wouldn't like that much that's what made me laugh. I didn't expect the killer to be that person or even all the intricacy of the case and I like it when I can't figure out who did it or/and the motives etc...; also I loved that they've showed that a woman can be funny. In terms of George & Edna I didn't completely understand why he froze seeing her and I was a little peeved that she appeared to have little sense of humor but by the end of it they really made up for it and I'm starting to really like this couple (I don't know for you but the visual of their kiss was beautiful to see, with the dark light, George bringing Edna to him with the cane…it was really amazing to watch). As for the last scene, this was so great, William wanting to prove to Julia that he can be fun and of course having to plan it meticulously instead of being spontaneous, by the end I wasn't sure if we were seeing William & Julia laughing or actually Yannick & Helene cracking up In any case bring the funny Murdochs more often they are a delight to watch. I'm still waiting for more Julia helping with investigations and Emily wasn't present much in this episode, but we're only half season so I'll see what 2015 will bring us

No, I knew it was for Julia...but I didn't get why he thought squatting strangely was funny. That strong man act was like 10 seconds long...I hope Tarzan was paid by the day.

But, he wanted to make Julia laugh, which was so sweet! Now that I've submitted all of my assignments, I might try writing that fic! The Gedna scene was hot! Beautifully shot, beautifully done. I liked it, and I remember when W/J used to have scenes like that. I guess Gedna's the new focus, and if it's hot like the final scene was tonight, I guess I'm okay with it. But, I miss hot William/Julia.

If I did write something later it'd probably be more like Julia getting revenge...and then the pranks getting increasingly out of hand. Anyway, that's why Murdoch has constables do all his legwork, so he can play with his toys during company hours.

George as the inspector is not surprisingly a Casanova.

But the part with the cane and how he just went for it! Hot! I must have looked away briefly because I don't recall that at all. Something to gif I think! Same with the whoopee cushion part! I don't know if this was meant to be a joke but, George is fixing the plumbing while telling Edna about being buried at sea...I thought it was funny.

The Joy of Whoopee: Detective Fartoch
The Joy of Whoopee 2: The Doctor's Revenge
The Joy of Whoopee 3: The Fairy Godmother's Magic Wand
Oh wait, that last one is not for children's eyes...or anyone's really.
