No problemo. Credit where credit is due. Ha! I once planned on a simple alternate ending to S4 and then somehow wrote like 10 chaps! And I believe one chap had them naked in a cave fighting wolverines! wtf was I on?  But uh, I've got a 'guest' on ff.net who keeps asking me to continue dark places cuz apparently they are dying to know what happens on those two book pages. I wish I knew... You should ask her to join you in Julia's Boudoir and write it herself, hahahaha.  really? no comment whatsoever on naked wolverine fighting? how is that possible?  |

Because I'm old and jaded, and I've read smut I hope you never dream of young grasshopper!  I've seen trapped, IIRC naked, in a cave, with wolf-like creatures on another planet terrorizing and occasionally licking people. I guess that's why wolverines didn't make me blink, but you definitely gave me a reason to bump that story up to top of the queue when working my way through your oeuvre. (Unfortunately you've terrified me with sheer volume of work!  ) After such sweaty wolverine action, I'm sure there was at least some off-stage comfort-nookie! Nice set up! |

I may also be working on a second and third chapter even though I originally planned it as a one off.Since we've confirmed CC didn't write the other one, it won't be impolitic to say I think you have the "voice" down better. The other one sounded a bit out of character, particularly for William: almost as if it were written with a different character in mind. It sounded a bit closer to the Jennings book Murdoch, in fact. Yours left me wondering 24 hours later what they got up to later that evening. Well, okay. I'll let you know where it is right now. Chapter 2 has Julia attempting to finish what they had started earlier, and when realizing that William is fully in control again, scheming about how to break his reserve, and planning an artful seduction in her parlor when William thinks he's just coming over for dinner. The smut doesn't pick back up until chapter 3, but I'm second guessing myself on the voice. Would Julia plan a seduction to knock the thought out of William? Would William be skilled enough to reduce Julia to a pile of goo with his hands. Because I'm thinking that if he does that, and she's begging for more, he'd never be able to turn her down, right? See, this is why I wish I'd stopped after the first chapter!  |

Actually, I'm not so sure that it isn't "okay". It was in use in America by the mid-1800's, and I think it quite likely that it had made the short journey north by the late 1800's or the era of MM.
