Did you notice how nerd!William came out when he realized what the balls were at the beginning, and explained what he knew about them? That was a nod to his secret stash. But, I'm rather hurt that nobody caught the Dirty Dancing reference in there.I loved Nerd!William going off on his tangent! I wanted to know more about that secret stash, and it was nice to know what to look forward to after marriage. I wonder if William is going to be reading those poems in Japanese...?
And I totally noticed no one puts Baby in a corner, but since the meaning was kind of opposite in this context, I didn't bring it up.  |

Wa I don't follow popular news enough to know anything about that.  "Undone" is a great period word, though. Nice choice! That's the beauty of Duran Duran-so many of their songs are apropos to the art of the tease. I thought you were talking about Hungry Like the Wolf-but, you're right, Undone would be a spectacular choice as well. Thanks-"came/come" just didn't sound right for this period. lol, have to specify I'm a fan of the second coming of Duran Duran next time, hahaha. Glad my song wasn't the murder one. |

One inside joke I put into a vid was the 'no ulterior motives one.' Did either of you gals spot it? It repeats several times throughout. And I should say it's references to the actual show with this one, not some other thing. I have to fess up I'm not getting that one. Which movie/show is that from? I'm pop culture deficient in many sad ways. will be embarrassed if I do know where that's from. |

Now I have a certain Duran Duran song as an earworm.  That story was pitch perfect! My only technical objection is how did Julia make it up those stairs? I'm not buying it!  I loved what William was worrying about all night. I also like considering why he didn't dance with her, lol. Chicken!  Perhaps there was too much grinning going on in the first part. I have to say what I like the best is how teasingly sexy it is without being some sort of technical instruction manual. Bonus points for having read/survived enough fanfic to not be saying stuff like "it felt like coming home~" Even better than the first story! LOL @ the stairs. It crossed my mind-it really did. But, I had been fiddling with it so much already, plus I had that bit about her staggering up the front walk and into the house, so I just left it. But, you should be happy-originally William carried her up the stairs, but I struck it because it was: a.) too fanfic cliche and b.) You know that hot scene from GWTW when Rhett carries Scarlett up the stairs for a night of passion? I've heard for years about how that was impossible, so out it went. You got her walking up the stairs instead-but I think that William did have to help her-maybe I should go back and convey that... That along with another exchange (where William explains why he was so pissy and territorial) have been bothering me a bit, so I might just go back and change them. I like them-I'm just thinking of adding a bit more to them-flesh them out ever so lightly. For the record, I made the changes. You don't have to go back and re-read the story, as they were minor. William helps her up the stairs now, and there's an additional comment about being anti-voyeurism. Like I said, minor changes. |

Like I said it doesn't reference anything else, just the show itself. This 'thing' happens three times in the vid and I think it's the most obvious the final time. It makes me laugh so that is why I did it.

I must admit-this one escaped my attention somehow. *Wonders what other vids I have missed?* Also, I just noticed that in Murdoch Au Natural, when William and Brax discover nekkid!Julia, William averts his gaze far earlier than Brax. Pervy Brax-what would the missus say? And yes, William definitely has ulterior motives-who are we kidding? So does Julia for that matter! |

Two words: Plausible Deniability If others don't witness his pervitude, it doesn't exist. 2.) This supports the theory I just made in the fic that he doesn't want to share Julia with others. In any form. Part of the reason I also don't think he was shagging her while she was married-she wasn't completely "his" just yet. Well, that, and the whole moral issue as well. As far as the joke, I must admit that I have a nebulous understanding, but perhaps not the greatest of grasps. Wasn't their 'ulterior motive' to have their way with one another? |
