No, I noticed that awhile ago. I tend to get accused of that myself. It's fun, isn't it. Believe it or not, it's been years since I've geeked out on a show this much. Me, tooooooooooooo. Weird how MM just had that secret sauce.

No, I noticed that awhile ago. I tend to get accused of that myself. Anyway, the silly joke I put in was that everytime it says, "all my focus on you..." murdoch is thinking about a case. Waaaaa hahahahaha. Okay, that was subtle, and really funny - sorry it went over my head. I do think it's hilarious now that you pointed it out. Ps. I have to say, though, that poor William probably does need to bring something else up to maintain the connection: or he will get anxious, freeze up, suffer from premature you-know-what... I think Julia understands and is on the same page.

Now that you mention it, I don't do this on American shows-perhaps because they state the obvious and there's no awesome subtext to geek out over and analyze. Well, there was one. Back in college, my best friend and I totally geeked out on I Dream of Jeannie-the show was rampant with hidden sexual innuendo-it was cleverly done. Of course, it was made in the days when the censors wouldn't even allow Jeannie to show her bellybutton, and it had to be wholesome for the whole family. Of course, the facial expressions and adult dialogues were anything but. Larry Hagman achieved infamy for being a deliciously evil JR Ewing in Dallas, but years before, he did a most wholesome, All-American lecherous Air Force officer. But not too lechy-it was still sorta wholesome. He deserves more credit for that role, IMO. Believe it or not, there was actually something kind of sexy about censorship.

Now that you mention it, there has always been something more "geeky" about non-American TV. I remember staying up late in college to watch ancient reruns of Blake's 7 on PBS, and then piling into our version of the "bromobile" to drive into the city for all night Chinese. *fond memories*. Which reminds me, I meant to ask you if you understood any of this: www.dailydot.com/fandom/tom-milsom-underage-sex-scandal/What's this deal with teen age girls and Dr. Who on Tumblr? I thought everyone was into Sherlock and maybe Orphan Black. Sure, some people are big fans of Dr. Who, but I didn't realize it was "teen age squee level" fandom. When did that happen? Why do I miss these things? Where is it all coming from?

I was really into Fringe for the first 3 seasons and then MM kind of bumped it out of the top obsessive spot. But I would try to come up with insane theories for what was going to happen next and I was usually way off base, which I really liked because it meant they actually knew what they were doing with the storyline instead of just making shit up as they went along.

It's funny you guys say that because my sister very recently got into Dr. Who too. But she's not a teenager anymore... I don't know where it came from but I think this teenage fascination has been around for longer than you think. Pretty much the first blog I followed was a teenage girl obsessed with the show and weirdly, one of the original Dr.'s, not the 'hotter' ones. But then again, she wasn't exactly wired the same way as everyone else. I'm over sherlock already. I thought S3 was pretty terrible.

But everyone says I should, so...it's on my list. Just not at the top.

2.) This supports the theory I just made in the fic that he doesn't want to share Julia with others. In any form. Part of the reason I also don't think he was shagging her while she was married-she wasn't completely "his" just yet. Well, that, and the whole moral issue as well. When Julia is talking about the requirements to file for divorce William does say that they haven't committed adultery.

OMG! Blake's 7! You got that on US TV? It was my favourite show waaay back when!

It was designed as a filler between sports and the news on a Saturday evening and was supposed to be an entertaining show that showed kids science could be fun. It only became an adult hit as the younger generation grew up and became those adults.

Alias was the best show J.J. Abrams ever made!

I'm just surprised it's STILL around! I think Sherlock got a boost from the Star Trek movie. It just made me grouchy because it got so much review magazine cover and Internet squee (leading to PBS picking it up) when MM - IMHO, a much better show - got *nothing*. The TV Moriarity just gives me a migraine and makes me want to turn the TV off. Also I hate "winking" at the fans in less than flatter in ways. Sherlock has made a rather cruel joke out of its own fandom. I think MM should be careful to avoid temptation here, too, though. I think they came close in "The Filmed Adventures" when they questioned people spending too much time watching TV.

When Julia is talking about the requirements to file for divorce William does say that they haven't committed adultery. Ooh did William actually swear that in Court? I've been theorizing for months that William couldn't have touched Julia during her marriage because it was adultery, and here it was canon all along... Though kissing her is kind of coveting another man's wife, so if you want to get technical about the Commandments... So romantic William held out for her. *sniffle*
