Oh, my! William's looking for any excuse to take that off, isn't he? Argh, that had better be just hot chocolate and not someone else. LOL! I finally got to see this! What's interesting to me is that William seems very practical and matter-of-fact while initiating the "corset experiment". This is very in character, which I like A LOT. It also shifts my fanfic idea of William, which was probably a little too suave in the bedroom. Hot chocolate instead of tea? Hmm, does that have any ulterior meaning (besides possibly being a call out to Drowning in Chocolate?). Was that considered an aphrodisiac? Was it a standard evening drink? Was it somehow a new fad in the early 20th c? It seems curious to me because I associate hot coco more with children... You've clearly never had good cocoa. I'm not talking about the powdered Swiss Miss/Nestlé crap either. But seriously, I adore European/Mexican hot chocolate. I have some Mexican hot chocolate in my cabinet actually...good idea! Thanks, Snacky! But what do you mean about "suave William"? He seemed concerned about the corset and just so happened to have liked what he saw before he cockblocked himself.

Being surrounded by gourmet groceries, I buy gourmet cocoa (love Mexican!) all the time. But since I'm too lazy to cook it with milk it tends to go in my coffee instead. I caught the frisky look. But before the frisky look, William was all responsible business. The frisky look was almost a nerdy come-on in context. and then he cockblocked himself.

I had a feeling she'd be with the protesters, not surprised at all to see her.

What are they protesting? Old corsets, new corsets, or corsets in general? I note in previous episodes Lillian has been dressed like a human ironing board! Would like to see the protester's in Emily's cute Clothing Reform knickerbockers!

So I guess the 'her' Mitchell was talking about was not Julia after all. Huh, go figure. (in relation to going corset free) Well looks like Lemily is well on it's way to being a thing...I couldn't stop laughing over the ending though. This was a decent ep but I'd say my least fave of the year so far, at least case wise. 'The victim was suffocated mysteriously.' 'Curious, very curious. I'll be taking that corset home now for my wife to try on.' Okay, that's not really fair but I still found it strange he'd take home something on a murdered person rather than examine it first...

No, I'm pretty sure he wanted her to try it on (even though he seemed concerned). I'm pretty sure he wasn't thinking with his big brain when he decided to bring it home.

So George finally impressed Murdoch. Not with any theories mind you, but by his work ethic. I'm not as annoyed with Murdoch as I had been the last few eps.
I think the whole George can do his job thoroughly without Murdoch's guidance is a big hint that George is ready for the next step of his career. Him being a detective at another station house won't really work for the show though...if he goes to SH5, it'd be very brief I'm sure. Or if he gets turned down for a promotion, then like Snacky suggested, he might decide to start up his own PI gig at the end of the season...but if they go the whole route of him trying to solve the same cases as Murdoch before Murdoch, well, then it's exactly like what Castle is doing right now.

Ahahaha, that Lemily scene was completely unexpected! I didn't think that they'd actually go down that road, but it sure is looking like it! I do wonder, however, how far they'll take it. Will it be treated like an ordinary heterosexual romance (in terms of the SHOW'S treatment of it, not the in-universe treatment of it, which will obviously be quite different)? We've had several episodes that touch upon and even revolve around homosexuality, but have there actually been any m/m f/f kisses? I'm also not looking forward to the comments on Facebook- I'm ready for countless rounds of 'bisexual. The word you're looking for is bisexual.' Yeah I was rather taken aback at the amount of sexual tension they threw in for them. 'You scare me Lilian. Undress me now...right here in the morgue!!' As soon as I saw Emily's hair 'down' I knew what was coming. Well, other than Murdoch and Gillies, I can't think of any kisses. That wasn't in a sexual manner at all so it doesn't count imo. I doubt they'll have Lemily kiss though. Maybe on the cheek but that's about it.

I was hoping she'd be going corset free after her experience. Guess not.... Perhaps Emily will convince her to give it a go? I'm sure Murdoch would approve...eventually. I guess it wasn't illegal to go corset free...but like Emily, most women would've felt naked without it so they kept wearing them. And also, didn't they kinda have to in order to wear a lot of those dresses?

And also, didn't they kinda have to in order to wear a lot of those dresses? I'm hoping that will happen but there's usually no continuation of the stories from one ep to the next. It was just what women did, some men too. The shape of the clothes didn't exactly fit a natural figure. If you had your clothes made though you could go corset free. Lillian Moss is thin enough she could probably get her clothes off the rack but I'm wondering what stores would sell her masculine style clothes.
