I would love to follow all the conversation but I'm already quite behind :/ I just wanted to say that I liked this episode a lot, the mystery was very strong, I figured who was going to be the culprit early in the episode even though I couldn't understand how she did it; so I was amazed by the turn of events and the twists in the plot that directed me to several potential suspects as I kept changing my mind throughout the episode about who the real killer was. It seems that the likes of Eva Pierce are not a rarity unfortunately but you have to admire how clever Nicolette Green was because she wasn't directly involved in the murder. We had again Julia & Emily quite involved in helping with the investigation (I very much enjoyed the experiment with the corset at the morgue), even an expertise in fashion was required and we had also the personal lives of all the characters included within the episode. Even poor Helene's broken wrist was cleverly included within Julia's storyline. I'm still missing the romance (I mean between William & Julia because something is seriously going on between Emily & Lillian ) but otherwise these past two episodes have rekindled my faith with the show's brilliance…

I mean, we all knew it wasn't Lilian though. Oh wow, I'm so slow! Didn't realize the whole randomly broken wrist thing was because of that! I'm going to be laughing over that ending for awhile. All that was missing was some sexy music playing in the background.

Bike accident, that's why she didn't have many (actually almost nothing) scenes in the episode "Murdoch & the temple of Death"

Biking accident. It's apparently why she wasn't in 810 much...perhaps they filmed 812 before 811?

Yeah, Murdoch/Gillies was totally a shock-factor thing (well, that's my opinion). Gillies had a perverse fascination with Murdoch, but I don't believe it was sexual or romantic in the least. He's always been portrayed as cold, clever, and calculating; his last act of escape reflected that. I just really hope people aren't going to be horrible about the possibility of Emily/Lilian, you know? I've already seen a few people throwing about the 'stop trying to be politically correct', and it's so not about that- it's about portraying realistic characters, as well as representing thousands of people whose very existences are frequently belittled and ignored. If you don't like the pairing, that's that- but if you don't like it because it's f/f, well, that's something else entirely. I'll agree with you on that. It seemed like he was attracted to Murdoch's intelligence and got a thrill out of one -upping him. Gillies kissed Murdoch simply to distract and fluster him. I enjoyed how parental George became of Simon and the scene with Brax and Crabtree defending their sons was humorous, it really seems like George is ready to be father. I would say even more ready at this point than Murdoch. Something I noticed is a parallel to Lemily and Gedna's early interactions. George and Emily were both betrayers of their partners confidences and sold them out to Murdoch where he then persecuted them. They were of course, found innocent but still each time there was barely enough evidence to even suspect them before George and Emily took private information and instead of even consulting them first for their side, went straight to Murdoch. I get that they have a duty to report anything they hear to Murdoch but if I were in Lillian or Edna's position's I wouldn't be so easily forgiving. I wonder, would Nicolette Green be charged? Sure Murdoch chastised her for orchestrating the murder and being a sociopath but like the husband in the Keystone Constables, neither actually committed a crime. They said some things that set other people's muderous acts into motion but would that be considered a conspiracy or worthy of jail time?

As long as Australian fans don't get to see the last episodes before us I'm fine with that. They were 8 episodes behind at the beginning and with that jump they will only be 2 episodes behind now.

Since everything's pointing to him marrying Edna, I'm betting he won't for whatever reason. Especially since we just had a wedding this season. So not only did Gemily's relationship parallel Jilliam's, but now there's that similarity as well! Haha wow! Just a way to throw in some drama I'm afraid.

George implicates girl in murder…gets a hairy companion. Emily implicates girl in murder…gets a handsy companion. Who got the better deal? You decide!
