FB is blowing up. some of the posts are expressing frustration with the homosexual arc, the suffragist arc AND the decline in mysteries. Why are people willing to make such negative generalizations over a short clip of a 44 minute episode? One guy is sick to death of the "feminist propaganda " but seems to have completely ignored the title of the episode. The writers have to do something to set up "Election Day" which is the episode that comes after "Crabtreemania." I am intrigued seeing Jean Hamilton and the Temperance movement as part of this arc development.

Yeah, this is why I avoid the FB discussion posts, batshit crazy folk hang out there.... OTOH, I'm glad people like him have identified themselves....all with their real name! That right there shows they're not the sharpest tool in the shed. Jean Hamilton and Terrence Meyers...oh my.

You are so right about batshit crazy and unbelievably judgmental.

Excellent representation of the rifts involved in the suffrage movement. Love how the women all gulped down their wine first hahahaha. Julia didn't seem too worried about William's hospitilization - doesn't seem angsty. Kind of disappointed that George's role as lead investigator isn't a result of him pointing out his years of excellent service and the fact he's over-qualified for a promotion, though.

I am intrigued seeing Jean Hamilton and the Temperance movement as part of this arc development. I have a feeling the other complaints are being used to smuggle in the homophobia. It's a common tactic for people who are trying to game political correctness. And "feminist propaganda"? MM might be set in the early 20th century, but we're living in the 21st. What rock has that troglodyte been living under? This is what Time magazine started with their whole "banning of Feminism" thing: they legitimized the creeps to come in under the wing of clueless guys who think they are just holding a "reasonable" line against some cherrypicked harpies of feminist fury. Sadly, misogyny is still real, and we still need feminism to advocate for the special interests of women. I implore CBC to set up a special web page on that election with some notes about the actual suffrage history of the era so we can all see where the "propaganda" is really coming from.

Whoa where do they say that Murdoch's hospitalized? That was Emily remarking to Julia that she must be happy to no longer have her cast. "QUICK Ladies! Hide the wine!"

I'm watching now on the Atlantic time zone broadcast.......

Well without spoiling it much as a lot of people haven't seen the episode yet. Funny episode (as usual with a Crabtree centered plot), the mystery wasn't so great I thought and right now I have more hopes towards the fact that there will be a new season rather than expecting too much of the 2 last episodes coming. The writers have gotten rid of the spark of the show this season and I miss it more and more with each episode that I'm seeing. Sorry for not posting much on this board but I try to show up at least once/week to give my opinion and see what are the others opinions

And it is completely inaccurate...…. [/p] I hope IMDb didn't put the plot for the last episode of the season under episode #16 because otherwise I will hate them for the major spoiler!!!! X(

ok here are my thoughts for this tonight's episode: The story was fun but the mystery plot was a bit weak in my opinion, I didn't scratch my head guessing. I like the relationship between George & Edna, they seem happy and in love as we can see onscreen (it is not left to our imagination in comparison to another couple x( ….), I also like the relationship between George & Simon they appear to get along quite well. However regarding George's promotion…wait WHAT?!! Even if this is great that his detective's skills are finally recognized he can't leave Station 4, he just can't!!! Other than that this episode has the same pattern that I've seen earlier this season (men on one side with the case and women on the other with the suffragettes) so it won't be on my top list. I really don't know what to expect for the last 2 episodes of the season but the sad part is that I'm only settling for contentment instead of being excited….I'm still hanging on the small hope to be proven wrong.
