I would love a ring conversation, and a house conversation and a housekeeper conversation! Except that they all have to happen before the wedding! Now, if those kind of interesting tete a tetes would replace some of the nightmare wedding scenarios I would be ecstatic! I find it funny that they've already had Murdoch's Bachelor party when they haven't even planned half the wedding yet... I had the same thought. I'm used to the 'stag' being the night before the wedding, though it is a stupid time to have it. A neighbour's daughter and son-in-law had their stag and doe about three months ago and only got married a couple of weeks ago. I guess they had the wedding arrangements completed though.

It's not otherwise clear, but as I've mentioned before, William is wearing the same tie (dark navy blue) pretty much the entire episode-except the end, when it's a dark burgundy one. It's possible he changed his tie for the party, but I think we're supposed to assume time has passed, in which some wedding details have passed. But, as I said, it's not super clear-maybe an editing foible?

They should just let Margaret run away with the whole thing while they go about their regular lives! (Maybe Margaret will take care of the house issue, too!)

Maybe the BP was supposed to clue him in that he was getting married. And apparently, venue decided, they decided to let Mrs. B take everything over. I must admit, this is basically what I did. I picked the place and date, and then my BF and step-mother took over the other details and became generalissimos. Of course, I wasn't even in the country for most of the planning...but I wasn't unhappy with the arrangement

He liked what he was seeing, but he was already freaking out about his wedding night, and she didn't help. Which is how you end up with fic like mine.

According to fairy tale, I think the bride's family is supposed to handle it. But if the bride's family isn't around...I think "anything goes". Mother-in-laws probably love stepping in here.

Which church is it?
While doing the mapping project, I came up with 2 likely cathedrals based on location closest to 22 Ontario Street.
One is St. Michael's Cathedral - downtown. My guess is this would be a "central" cathedral and more conservative.
The other is St. Paul's Basilica in Corktown. This is closer to railroad tracks. (re: The Murdoch Identity). But wouldn't Corktown make it an Irish church?
Opinions? Other clues? Anyone recognize the facade or the stained glass windows?

St. Mike's is the largest Catholic church downtown but it's well west of Ontario Street...too far for it to be Wm's parish. I hate to burst your bubble but I'm pretty sure I read a post from a woman in Hamilton who waited outside her own church for 4 hours in the heat to watch filming and was rewarded with a little chat with Yannick.

Was it this one? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cathedral_Basilica_of_Christ_the_King_%28Hamilton%29

I have no idea. The woman just did a post on FB or twitter with no pics. I looked at the Cathedral web site - William's church looks much smaller. It looks even smaller than St. Paul's Basilica. Grr.
