The skirt isn't so bad, but yeah, if they'd only do something to the bodice each time they had a nightmare, that would be good. Or, if they'd remove a few frills. I know now that there were pics earlier this summer of filming, but I've looked online and can't find them now. I'm really hoping we get something fancier than a courthouse quickie. Apparently there were multiple wedding scenes shot in several churches I believe which is what's leading me to believe there will be nightmares. Yep, that's why I'm drawing the same conclusion. My dress worry is coming from the idea that MM has a limited budget. I'm really worried about that "Let's just get married line..."

Since the writers established St. Lawrence the Martyr as William's church visually rather than by name in Glory Days they have committed themselves, through Father Clement's agreement, to have the wedding there, IMO. No courthouse quickie for the Wedding of the Century! Yippee!! Right now I'm much more concerned about the dress and hair they do for Julia than I am about the church. IMO there are far more questions about the former than the latter. I wished I could share your optimism. Right now, I'm thinking nerves, nightmares, and Mrs. B have have W/J just deciding to elope at the end-that last scene looks like a courthouse to me, and that they'll probably just fade to black as they walk through the doors. However, I hope I'm wrong.

Maybe the courthouse scenario is also a nightmare with Leslie Garland as judge?

My dress worry is coming from the idea that MM has a limited budget. I'm really worried about that "Let's just get married line..." But it isn't "Let's just get married..." It's "Let's get married Mr. Murdoch." It could have a completely different meaning. However it is W/J and I'm hoping for the best despite predicting the 'next to' worst.

I don't think either William or Julia are very into planning. They should just let Margaret run away with the whole thing while they go about their regular lives! (Maybe Margaret will take care of the house issue, too!) Oh man I can see her now- "Guess what, the house next to ours went up for sale! anddddd We used your money and bought it for you! SURPRISE WE'RE NEIGHBORS!" I can see the Inspector coming over routinely as he gets kicked out of the house by Margaret. Or, that's where he hides his drink and cigars.

Which is why I'm hoping they make alterations to the bodice with each scene.

Guess I'm just not as invested in what she's wearing, I'm more invested in the fact that hopefully she won't be wearing anything later that day ... and William too. Unfortunately I don't think we'll get to see that bit....

I don't really care for the whole monarchy thing (I'm such a good American! ) But, when there's a royal wedding, you better believe I'm waiting with baited breath for the dress. I got married just a couple of months after Kate/William, and while I loved her dress, I was jealous because it had sleeves. It changed bridal style, but not in time for me. As for honeymoon activities, if not next week, I'd like to see a scene in a hotel room that alludes to something. Or, them waking up practically nude. I'll settle for that.

I had a thought today. The trailer for this episode has Julia walking into Murdoch's office and saying ".....I daresay I should marry you more often......." That may be a bit of a play on words given it looks like we'll see Julia and William marrying more than once by way of dream sequences. Wouldn't surprise me if the actual W/J wedding (if there is one) was filmed under pretty close wraps. What I do hope is that when the episode ends we, at least, know whether or not they actually DID marry. I'll go crazy if next week's mystery turned to be a "did they or didn't they?" Was it real or was it a dream? lol - wedding groundhog day! I was thinking the same, but from William's point of view, after Julia "cursed" the wedding by seeing him in his suit beforehand! The sneak preview showed him doing that hand thing trying to work out the ramifications. I don't think there will be any question whether they married by the end of the episode. They will be doing their honeymoon in New York next week! (Should have gone to Japan! ) Is the New York episode on the week after Holy Matrimony? (Nov 10?) yay! Snacky I know you don't go into FB but MM posted the fan video "trailer" that I posted here yesterday (or whenever). You have talked about how they should show more than just the artwork so I thought it was really great that they did that. They fully id'd it as something an fan did.....WELL....you should see all the posts about I don't like the music, blah blah blah. MM had to reply at least twice saying something to the effect of --- to CLARIFY, this is a FAN video folks! They (MM) are much nicer than me as I read a couple of the posts and signed off FB. I couldn't put up with that nonsense for too long, I'd soon be giving someone a snarky reply post and get fired! I don't know who gets assigned to reply as MM (maybe someone being punished?) but I'm guessing the one's that have to do it have a lot of bald spots on their heads. Anyway to get back to my post and your reply, I'm thinking that we may still see Julia in a lovely wedding dress because the actual, real (not teaser) wedding was filmed out of sight of any fans (ie: in studio). So there is still hope for some high fashion.

I think that they have filmed the wedding in secret. We don't want to see the dress cause it is bad luck in TV drama - see the dress the wedding does not happen.
Now FB, half the people on there I don't think have every watched an episode by the comments they make. And don't get me started on spelling of Murdoch. I had to correct someone last week it bugged me so much.

That's from a Murdoch Air where George wakes him up by banging on the door, he was dreaming of marrying Julia.
