We've got a trailer! www.facebook.com/video.php?v=709743202437478"Murdoch discovers he’s being followed by a group of detective admirers, while Ogden’s work with the suffragette movement leads her to consider a run for political office. " But the trailer it'self isn't all that in depth or anything. But it does appear the fangirls get arrested. Probably for obstruction.

There was a trailer for TMAS last night and it does indeed seem like it has Miss Rosevear type fangirls who get in the way of the investigation. I notice the CBC isn't using trailers as place markers for the next episode on their website this season, too bad, I'd like to be able to see them anytime rather than just on the odd occasion I'm watching the CBC. Maybe there was some question as to when the episodes would be airing, so that's why they needed to hold the trailers back?

Does anyone else think Murdoch's fan from Crime and Punishment will be part of this society? Yes, I was thinking of that when I thought of "following his adventures in newspaper clippings". I was also thinking of how Tess the switchboard operator became fascinated by detective work through reading Penny Dreadfuls. So a "fandom" could emerge that way. Women read the Penny Dreadfuls, then they see "real" cases in the newspaper. sensationalized by the media. Then they see a hawt detective bicycling around Toronto. Sometimes in bicycling athletic shorts.

Quite a few of us do, actually. I wouldn't be surprised. I think you mean Murdoch in Toyland...but yeah, I'll be annoyed if she doesn't make another appearance. It'll be funny to see how he deals with girls fawning over him now that he's married. Julia would probably just laugh at him but if one of them got near the tie she would become Action!Julia. Poor William. First he will be looking for Julia to save him. Then he will be trying to be polite. Then he will be accepting a piece of pie. Then he will get in trouble.

As for how he'll handle it, he'll probably be even more awkward than he has been when women throw themselves at him. Julia will just laugh and tease him-he'll be mortified. Or at least that's what I hope...squirmy!William is awesome! Hmm, we've been led to expect Adorkable!Willaim this season. But remember that William that had an ambiguous eye for Mrs. Pendrick? What was that William all about, anyway? We might see some of that...

They knew after the last episode that 806 would be next week, CBC has their schedule on the website two weeks in advance. The trailer for the next episode used to go up the next day or the one after the last episode was uploaded, can't quite remember now.

Someone might want William's tie for a souvenir. After all, it's detachable.

Just like on his honeymoon, he'd be the more flustered... Someone might want William's tie for a souvenir. After all, it's detachable. Julia would probably be amused at his fangirls, but she'd draw the line at him coming home without a tie. Then, she'd be upset-after all, she's been trying to remove that tie for years. I think William relies on Julia to save him from these situations because while his heart belongs to Julia, his eyes and body are otherwise easily distracted, and betray the wishes of his mind.

I agree - I think this is a side effect of the compartmentalization thing. William wants to keep his mind focused on his cases and his building projects, and he'd rather let Julia handle the interpersonal stuff. When he tries, he wanders off into correcting grammar and people's names. Regarding Sally - perhaps William develops an affinity for people he thinks "understand" him whether they do or not - as long as he doesn't actually have to deal with small talk...?

That, and William can't help himself. He likes pretty girls or even a hint of nudity is enough to distract him-he's so sexually repressed that rather than find an appropriate outlet, it oozes out everywhere else. Such as staring at his wife's ass while he was working-Julia's got to work on teaching him an appropriate outlet for his sexuality-which is uber-repressed even for a Victorian.

And don't forget he actually lectures his colleagues about "porn"! I was trying to think of all the time "distracting" pictures have appeared in MM. I thought of Bathsheba, the Landscape, the postcards - what else?
