Some writer(?) guy on twitter said this was an extraordinary ep. I'm sad cuz I doubt I'll be able to watch it tonight. It should be with Giles in it! The perfect upright cop investigating himself? It might end in moral impasse like Le Miserables. Dang, I hope that doesn't mean Giles commits suicide. He's the best thorn in Station House 4's paw ever!

This looks like an interesting one if they don’t ruin it with fan service. I hope Stockton finally gets his comeuppance and I am sure Brackenreid will be all too happy to hand it to him. Stockton was the Inspector at SH4 when this happened and Giles was the Detective. Could this be the beginning of the “Everyone’s got something to hide” theme they’ve been promoting since summer? Even Brax was around when this person was buried under SH4. Oooooh! Whilst I think Giles knows more than a thing or two about the victim and what happened, I doubt he’ll be involved in the cover-up. The guy is just too rigid to go along with it. Stockton on the other hand is probably neck deep in covering up something like this. I'm thinking you've hit the nail on the head. I would love to see Stockton get nailed. Too bad he's retired...then maybe HE could get shipped off to Winnipeg!

They should bring him back to answer some tough questions. Giles, I think might survive this but just for the sake of it, I would like to see him behind bars for a few hours just to see how the shoe fits considering how hard he came down on William and Brax in the Wonderland ep. I wonder how he will cope with incarceration.

OMG what an episode! I won't put out real spoilers, just teasers. IMO, this was MM at its best: a solid story line with twists and turns that keep you guessing. William develops a new forensic technique. Henry deals well with some important tasks. Dark secrets of several people come to light. Ziggy and Shangas will be happy to know that there's no fan service whatsoever!
I can't wait till the whole gang has seen it and is able to comment.

The deed took place on June 22, 1881. The who's who at SH4 at the time is quite eye-opening.

Amazing and intense episode. It could have been a stage play. Looks like Helene had some time off but there was just no place for her in the story line.
Tommy Two Cakes?

I can't wait till the whole gang has seen it and is able to comment. Being spoiled by Twitter will have to do for me! If past weeks are any indicator I will have to wait until tomorrow for the ep, and I stupidly agreed to an appt tomorrow morning. Besides the murderer (told ya Stockton would be a red herring and Giles would be close to it) - I also saw George was the unsung evidence hero again! He should be a consulting PI for Julia's CSI lab!

Looks like Helene had some time off but there was just no place for her in the story line. I think that the reason for this is that she is in two episodes of Heartland, so she was probably off filming for them...

Perhaps this was where Helene did the Heartland ep? Did cakes mean something dirty? Now we know for sure the Brackenreids met in Canada. Hopefully this makes their timeline work? It occured to me he could also be called to consult in England over the Ripper case. Or happened to be honeymooning there...
