I have come to the conclusion that summer is not my favourite time of the year. Australian summers can be too hot and we get bushfires and such heavy rains we get floods. I live in an area bounded by three National Parks and beaches. Lovely place to live when the Mother Nature behaves herself. I think I like winter the best as I find myself being able to warm up easier than cooling down. What is your favourite season?

Definitely a winter person here, the colder and snowier, the better.....hate heat, plus there are new Murdoch episodes and it is (ice) hockey season......I wish Murdoch would have more winter episodes, but I understand it is a lot harder for them to film, with more potential for production delays.....
Cheers (and welcome).

I am a summer girl for sure. I run away from the cold in the Great White North as often as possible.

I'm a summer baby that loves the winter. My asthma makes it so I hate either extremes but I hate heat and there's only so many layers you can take off before you're just stuck being hot and sweaty. When it's not windy, I love the chill air and the snow and it's that right amount of cold. The extreme heat is just one of the reasons i'm hesitant to visit Australia

My husband and I joke that when we retire (early, of course ) we'll have a summer home in Canada (can't decide on BC or Eastern) and a winter home in Mexico-Yucatan. You know, because teachers are so wealthy, this will totally happen! I personally have always liked Fall-I like the changing colors, crisp air, and even the smell of it-when I'm not in the city that is.

People often just hit the road for a few days in October to "see the fall colours". You can make two vacation properties work...buy your northern place near a good ski area. You can rent it out (for a fortune) to the skiers from Novemer to April to support your basking in the Yucatan. My cousins are doing it and it works just fine!

We lived in northern BC for a few months several years ago and I have to say if you want fall colours you have to go to Eastern Canada. Admittedly southern BC may be more like the east in fall but Ontario and Quebec are stunning when the leaves turn.

Fall/Spring/Winter Basically any season that doesn't get ridiculously humid. I.HATE.HUMIDITY.
TBH I need to move North. I need cooler summers-colder winters and beautiful tween seasons.

Spring is my second favourite season of the year, summer being my least. I'll take winter over summer any day, once you've got down to nothing there's not much you can do about the heat whereas in winter you can always pile more layers on.

You also have wriggly bundles of love to snuggle up to in the winter! I make it a point to never, ever complain about the heat in summer so that I can freely bemoan the cold in winter. Have you seen the windchill forecast for tonight? Minus 41C!!!! The fire is already going!!

The weather here is atrocious today with snowsqualls, wind and low temps. We were going into London but decided against it!
