I've been on here all afternoon and evening as I'm basically shut in. This is my first 'down day' in weeks. Thanks to this group who make me think and laugh till the tears run . We know you have another down day coming up in a month too!

haha, the joke in the US is that you have to retire in Mexico because Social Security is so low. The fact that the cost of living is low in Mexico is just a bonus! I love the culture, people, food, natural beauty, etc. If I could earn what I make in Japan, but in Mexico, I'd move there in a heartbeat. I don't have a stomach for the food! I'll just have to move north to Canada!

I only want to be outta here from Nov - Mar with a quickie trip home for a white Christmas. I LOVE April - October in Ontario! That way I get 3 out of 4 changes to appreciate, hehehe.

My ancestors were sheep thieves in the Scottish highlands, English schoolmasters and Ontario mining. You'd think that would count for something but my instinct is RUN!!!!

It can be lovely and warm there but it is rarely as HOT as it can get here in the summer.

I remember as a kid getting up in winter and everything feeling damp. That of course was before we had central heating which my dad installed when I was a teen.
