Not sure how this ep is going to play out based on tonight's preview. At least it seems like Julia joins William as he reminisces with the priest...and they are smiling! I get the distinct impression that this Father Keegan isn't all he seems. |

I get the distinct impression that this Father Keegan isn't all he seems. I felt like he was a player, not a man of the cloth and certainly not someone believable as Murdoch's mentor in this persona. All that from 15 seconds of spliced together material. I will be very happy to be wrong on this one. |

I didn't get the player but there's something not right here I almost got the feeling he was the murderer. |

I felt like he was a player, not a man of the cloth and certainly not someone believable as Murdoch's mentor in this persona. All that from 15 seconds of spliced together material. I will be very happy to be wrong on this one. I didn't get the player but there's something not right here I almost got the feeling he was the murderer. Ooh, looking forward to seeing the preview. Haven't caught it yet. Interesting that on March 2nd, we have another hiatus again according to CBC schedule. More postproduction delays? I'm looking forward to it too but I would have liked the ep about William's past to delve into what he did between leaving school and becoming a constable. There's a disconnect between what we've been given and the actual timeline. |

Yep, it was too short to really get a good impression but there's something not right with this priest. I saw it twice and got the same impression both times. |

I fear it will be like watching an ep of "side character development".  But perhaps I'm wrong. I'm also dying to hear about William's past, though I'm a lot more interested in the logging camp years, and I think those "skeletons" would be a lot more interesting!  |

Normal shows in the US do 22-26 and they break it up into 2 filming/production "seasons" with a break in between. Doing 18 all at once is very exhausting for the actors, and it still leaves the viewers feeling like they got a short season... |

In the book, he was rumored to have been a doctor in the a Civil War, and also to have had a family at one time. It'll be interesting to see what comes out in the show. Maybe instead of William's secrets, it'll be Father Keegan's... |
