Hey wait a minute - in speaking of Lillian, I argued all season that her action's were historically viable, but people kept judging her on whether she was rude or not! Now for Rebecca we're back to whether it's historically correct? Nobody ever said Lillian's character wasn't historically correct. Just because someone is historically correct doesn't mean we have to like them. I found her totally intolerable and I'm not happy she's back. Well let's see what they do with Rebecca. Perhaps they are basing her on a historical personality like Margaret Haile.

Edna's death would if it changed George...? I don't agree, it wouldn't affect the whole SH. Depends on how it happened. For instance, what if it was a hostage situation in which Higgins had to make some choice that let George down. Or George had to chose between Edna and someone else? Jackson would be the other choice since he has a regular gig on Orphan Black. I have trouble seeing MM breaking the George/Higgins cycle.

It may expand the audience in one direction whilst losing audience in others. Last year we didn't just have an A & B plot we also had a C plot. It had to to deal with so many characters when some of those characters had nothing to do with the mystery. I really don't want to see that again this year. Not to mention some of the B plots were stupid i.e. Bobby and Simon's boxing match.... I share your concerns about subplots. At the same time offering white characters to a white audience shuts a lot of people out, so I can see where they might want to test the waters and see who else might like to find some reflection in history. The colour of the character has nothing to do with it. She could be sky blue pink with a yellow border for all I care*. It's the addition of another new character in general that I'm bothered about especially when the extra characters from the previous season still seem to be hanging around. After the debacle of last years mismanagement of the characters because of the number it seems stupid to me to add another ... regardless of colour. * For those not familiar, British term for colour being irrelevant.

Edit - Having read the preview I now think it's Emily we'll lose, Well I suppose there will be great joy throughout the land if both Emily and Lillian die in a murder/suicide. What a sorry end to the sapphist experiment that would be, though.

I don't mind Emily and I'm fine either way if she goes or stays. It just seems that if someone is leaving voluntarily Georgina would be the most logical. If there's a murder/suicide who'd be the murderer?

Yes, I agree the subplots were a drag last year. Which is why I'm now having a second thought about Emily. Possibly Emily/Lillian. I'm having trouble believing PM would throw is creation under the bus, but IMHO they made a mistake with the "middle class turn". And what about "Emily's father"? So many loose threads. Wednesday Addams was so much cooler. I was about to say Rebecca's origins could have been as a Civil War nurse, but the show is loooooong past that, lol. Many slaves fled to Canada - maybe her parents did during the Civil War period? Anyway, if Rebecca is in the morgue, she's not a subplot.

If there's a murder/suicide who'd be the murderer? Probably Lillian - though there would then be some disgruntlement about some lesbian jealousy stereotype. But the more creative choice would be Emily: who would see that coming?

I would definitely think perhaps Jackson now. I didn't know he was also doing Orphan Black. My only hang up would be I've never thought his death would be shocking, but it might be to the casual viewer.

I haven't seen Orphan Black this season, but the guy who plays Jackson is the husband of Lulu Lemon Clone and later a Super Soldier.
