I completely agree about her concern for the group. I just think there was a second of something else registering on her face. Yup, I caught a slight mixture of annoyance at the bond between W and Fred, as well as worry over William and for the others. After watching the clip again the first thing that came to mind was trust William to be the first one to make friends with the girl!

I think not only has William always liked women, he likes strong women.

Oh, William...even then you liked them feisty, didn't you? Ooh, is our lumbersexual trouble-that-explains-the-gap-years and possible virgin-debunking scenario coming to pass...?

Still a bit early for the missing lumberjack years, he's about 12-13 y/o here. But there's definitely first kiss potential here.

She looks like she beat William up! (after he dips her braid in ink). Did anyone else notice Freddie grew up shorter...?

I enjoyed it, but it didn't engage me as much as others this season..........however, yes, the end was intriguing.......I thought for sure one thing would be mentioned and was so glad it wasn't.....

Fun episode. Looks like we're getting yet another female character. Get rid of 2, get 2 more. Makes sense. Love triangle brewing for George, Rebecca and Freddie? Wouldn't be surprised. You go girls! When Julia popped open the carriage door, she looked so evil, it was great! Also, Freddie flipping that guy over was something straight outta Alias! Murdoch lecturing Freddie on being reckless. Okay there, Murdo... Must not have been much work lately if he had time for that mini Murdoch home. Knew that's what it was right from the getgo. Not exactly Snacky's electric castle, but certain similar elements. Washing cuboard? And a shared workshop/lab? You sir, are getting laid tonight! Now we just need to wait 2 seasons for him to build it. And lapboard and pad? Amazing. I pick lapboard myself.

I didn't find this ep quite as engaging as the previous ones but loved Julia using her underhanded ways again. What can one say about the end? Love William when he's unsure or nervous of what Julia will think. When will he ever have time though?? Yes, lizmc, glad THAT wasn't brought up, I almost expected the room to be mentioned!
One other thing, the cut of William's pants looked rather modern; the waist was somewhat low for the times don't you think?

I enjoyed this ep but there were so many people to keep track of that I admit to paying more attention to the locations. Need to watch it again. Loved Julia doing an end run around a bigot. I'm intrigued with the idea of Freddie being a recurring character but I wonder what's the point? We have a new character in Rebecca and don't need to repeat the mistake of too many secondary characters from last season.
I loved William's surprise. So thoughtful and geeky, but don't get me started on the design. Please let saner heads prevail with the layout!!!!!

I think the pants may have been from the Gap......the back view was nice, though.....
